This is viruetbride2012's Red Wedding!

I have to cut my budget a bit because I keep looking at all of the money we are about to spend and can't help but think to myself "damn, I could but a new car, or house, or something more that I can use with all thins money". I just don't see the sense in spending all that money for one day.

Ugh! I can't find the perfect favors, I want them to be unique, but I want them to also have a purpose for the guests after the wedding. I don't want the money that I spend on these favors to go to the trash. My finance found the glassware favors he wants, and I like them but to have the monograms and date put on them will make an overall cost of about $525.00 and that is for only 50 glasses!!! That is crazy to me but he really wants it. I would do DIY but I am a truck driver and I don't have the time to do the work that is required. Any suggestions?

On Thursday I received the business proposal from my wedding planner, wholly crap! $5,946.19 for the wedding and reception and that is not including the main food, it includes the appetizers for the cocktail hour though. I need to figure out how to make it cheaper, it is not that money is an issue because our original budget we $26,000, but I want to spend less, I moved the budget from $26,000 to $9,000, but now I am wanting to only spend about $7,000. We were looking at having the wedding ceremony at Wilson College but now that we reduced the guest list from 130 people to 50 people, Wilson College seems too big, so we have an appointment on Monday to look at the Emmanuel Chapel at Penn State at Mont Alto, it seats up to 60 people and it goes very nice with the elegance theme I want.

The day I paid my dress in full, not only did David's Bridal have a special on photography packages where I got my photography package for $1,400 even though it is worth $1,800, but I found the perfect veil to go with my perfect dress! It is a fingertip veil with red boarders and a flower design that matches the dress! I put it on lay away and will pick it up in 30 days!

I will have my dream wedding dress paid off in full on Saturday, $317 with tax, way under my budget of $3,000! :-) It is a discontinued design (so it kind of goes with the "unique" theme I am trying to create) and it is in my current size, so if I fail with my diet, it will still fit. :-) I also found the bridesmaids dresses that go great with all of my bridesmaids different shapes and sizes! Edwin and I have been engaged since March 23, 2011 and the wedding is June 16, 2012. Our colors are red and with with touches of silver and gold. The way he proposed was perfect, but a private story. Lol. I am excited about this wedding and the planning involved.
