Outdoor Engagement Party Ideas
We are getting very close to having our engagement party and we are on a budget...a lot of it is diy projects.I can't wait. Have several great ideas for our engagement party. I went ahead and listed a few of them below along with their links.
DIY- Cupcake Liners: Instead having a cake we are going to have some cupcakes. To make them really pretty I decided I wanted to use those really pretty cupcake liners. But they are too expensive so I came across this website DIY cupcake liners with paper doilies. Master Cleanse Really Works
Would you like to lose a few pounds for your special day?
I was a little scared of trying the master cleanse. But decided I really needed to get back into shape and feel good about my myself. Within the last year I've gained about 60-70 pounds ladies. I wasn't very athletic, but would head out to the gym every day and get an hour workout. this past year has been tough. Working for elected officials means working long hours. I just was too tired to get myself to go to the gym and the result is gaining all these pounds.
So I decided to do this master cleanse and I'm on my third day. So far I've lost about 5 pounds. Which is very shocking to think all that build up is in you. I want to gain back my energy and feel good/healthy about myself. My goal is to do the cleanse for about 20 days. Wish me luck ladies. Engagement Party!!!
No Location...No Invites..
I’m so not keeping it together. Today I was just about to send out my invites for our engagement party and just after double checking with my future sis n law she wasn’t comfortable having it at her house…do to some family issues (drama). Now I have to look for a place that will hold 25 people but also hold off on the invites. I’m very sad over this.. It was going to be perfect having it at her house same place I met my fiancé and the same date I met him on and now it won’t happen as I planned.
Ladies I have a few questions about engagement party… if you have it at a restaurant should guest pay for their own meals?… Do we pay? How can I kindly mention on invite. I need to find a place by today. We live in LA and every nice place is crazy expensive over hear. Please advise what should I do. Engagement Party is July 10th, 2010 |

Question Ladies…. Are you having any problems with your sister(s) or girlfriend(s)? OMFreakinGod!!!! My sister is being so difficult… I don’t understand. She is not being very helpful and when I ask for her help she’s being difficult about it. This is supposed to be a memorable and great experience for not only me but for both of us and it’s not happening. It’s gotten to a point that I seriously asked her to really think about being my bridesmaid. I really want her to be in my wedding but I’m just a little skeptical about it now. I don’t want this be an okay experience. I’m only planning to get married once so I want this to be something I will always cherish. I love her.. and wish it weren't like this.

Honeymoon
We can’t decide
Okay… so my fiancé and I can not decide where we would like to go for our honeymoon. I need to start looking for a travel agent. Any recommendations where we should go? We plan to leave on our honeymoon in the last week of September or first week of October…something tropical. Also any Southern California brides out there that can recommend a travel agent?

What's the difference between Matron & Maid of Honor?
Okay ladies I have a question regarding Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor… what’s the difference? Also I was told that the Maid of Honor is someone who needs to be single. Problem… My Maid of Honor is my future sister n law who is married and I chose my sister to be my Matron of Honor… I’m pretty sure you are thinking why I wouldn’t choose my own sister to be my Maid of Honor… we are not that close. On the other hand my future sis n law has been very involved in our lives (FH and I). She would give her shirt off her back to help us and we’ve become very close over the years. I’m only having my sister and sister n law walk down with me. So again my question is what’s the difference between those two?

Wedding Cake
I’m not a big fan of fondant cake… I do think it makes the cake look pretty but don’t like the taste of it. I want my guest to eat their cake. So even though I’m not a huge fan I posted a few pics of what I’m considering for our wedding cake. The first pic is my favorite… I like the simplicity and it goes well with our wedding theme.
