Re-Thinking Some Things!!!

So the other day FH and I were discussing finances and the wedding budget. He brought to my attention that as of that day we had signed contracts for over $3K with just photography and videography services.

Now to some that is a reasonable price, hell its very reasonable to me seeing how some pay just that for one of those services alone. None the less once I set down and looked at the overall picture and with everything that we have going on that was a little over the top.

So my thought was to just eliminate the video all together...FH was not all that happy about being on video anywho.....but I did want to be able to go back and relive the day....then 3 things happen....

1) I came on to WBC and read the Beautiful and ever so fantastic Justmeandhim's blog about having a videographer for just the ceremony.

2) When we had our consult with the florist..she indicated that the one thing she wished she would have had was a video from her day...even if it was just the ceremony...because that is the one thing that the bride does not get to witness....the groom, the parents, the kids coming down the aisle, the expression on peoples face as I enter the church etc...

3) FH insisted that I keep it....

Well I took everything into consideration and took a leap of faith and sent my videographer an e-mail requesting that we have a smaller package...and guess what he gave me several options, and BOY am I happy.

We took the smallest package that he had to offer which will cover the some pre-ceremony, ceremony, pics after the ceremony, and our first dance at the reception & it is half the price....SO HAPPY!!!
