Wedding Reception
Table Setting
So my friend Yvette is getting married and she's been calling and texting me for wedding ideas, so lately I've been back in the planning mode, which is fun and honestly I kinda miss it. Anyway, as I was searching for unique wedding ideas, I came across this really gorgeous table setting, only if I would have thought about this idea when I was planning lol. The center pieces on the tables are gift wrapped boxes with bows that color coordinate with the table linens. The gold satin linens with silver charger plates were very elegant. The favors were small silver gift boxes filled with chocolate kisses, I love it. What do you think?

Trashing My Dress
Finally after being married almost a year I've decided to "trash my dress". I'm not sure if brides are suppose to trash their dresses immediately after their wedding or within that year, if so I'm cutting it close :-) My photography is busy with wedding season so we are scheduled to do the photo session some time in July I can't wait. I will definitely upload pics.

For those of you who might not know what "trashing the dress" is here's a description from Wikipedia:
Trash the dress, also known as fearless bridal or rock the frock, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion and glamour photography.

Usually brides decide to have pictures taken on a beach, but other locations include city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, fields, and abandoned buildings.

Some sources claim that the trend was originally started in 2001 by Las Vegas wedding photographer John Michael Cooper[1]. However, the idea of destroying a wedding dress has been used in Hollywood symbolically since at least October 1998 when Meg Cummings of the show Sunset Beach ran into the ocean in her wedding dress after her wedding was badly interrupted. Since then the style has spread around the world and most notably in the UK, with photographers like Steve Gerrard[2] and Mark Theisinger[3], amongst others, shoot their unique ideas of Trash the Dress.

A model often wears a ball gown, prom dress or wedding dress, and may effectively ruin the dress in the process by getting it wet, dirty or in extreme circumstances tearing or destroying the garment.

It may be done as an additional shoot after the wedding, almost as a declaration that the wedding is done and the dress will not be used again. It is seen as an alternative to storing the dress away, never to be seen again.

Coed Bridal Showers
Is anyone having a coed bridal shower? I wish I would have thought about having one not sure if my husband would have agreed to it lol. But I think this is a cool idea. Do you think its tacky? Should bridal showers stay for women only? What are your thoughts?

Patience Is a Virtue!!!! STILL NO PICTURES
OK this week we celebrated our one month anniversary :) woohoo however WE still haven't received majority of our professional wedding and engagement pictures. The photographer sent us about 10 pictures the day after our wedding and said that she will have the rest to us in 4 weeks............. Completely understandable, better than some people who didn't get their photos until almost a year after their wedding...wow I don't want to go there!!!! Anyway, this pass Tuesday was 4 weeks, I was soooooo excited to finally get all of our pictures, DVD, albums and to upload them to our wedding site so our famiily/friends can finally see and purchase photos for their personal use etc....ONLY to receive a email from the photographer saying that she needs an additional 2-3 weeks!!!!!!!!! Maybe its me but my patience is thin!!!! I WANT MY PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone else have to deal with this...waiting for their pro photos?
