HELP! Can I give my input for my Bachelorette Party ?
Okay, my bridesmaids are currently planning my Bachelorette party for a Hard Rock Casino weekend. I think this would be fun, but I am kind of sick of that scene, and I would really just like a group of us to go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios instead, I know this is non traditional but I go every year and with the wedding two weeks before Halloween, I dont think I am going to get to go this year, unless we move my party there! I would really like this, but can I ask them to change the plans or should I just stick with what they are planning ?

Candy Buffet Frames !
I really have the best MOH ! Last week we found two pink fabulous frames for the candy buffet at Hobby Lobby. Kim painted one red and one black to match our candy buffet colors! They turned out perfect ! Yay!!!

Calling All Damask Brides!!
Great Finds At Party City!!
So today my MOH and my mom went to pick up my car from Sears. On the way they decided that since Target was close they might as well pick up the chocolate fountain for my bridal shower. So they went to Target and got the fountain.
And since Party City is a few stores down from Target, they went there too. They found some great things for my shower. They found really cute pink martini glasses and the BEST AISLE EVER!!! This aisle was FULL of Damask plates and napkins with coordinating tablecloths, cutlery, cups and other stuff. They had so many colors! They had black, white, gold, silver, red, light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, purple and about six other different colors!!! It was amazing!! Just wanted to share this great damask find!!! |

I LOVE Hobby Lobby
My First Trip !
I had never heard of Hobby Lobby until I joined this site. I live in Tampa, Florida, and the closest one to me is in Ocala, which is about 2 hours away. But today my MOH and I had to drive to Tallahassee to pick her Cap and Gown for her FSU graduation, so we decided to venture to the Georgia Hobby Lobby because we couldn't get to Ocala before it closed. We got a little lost but it was SOOOOOOO Worth it ! I could not believe the amount of damask stuff we found! I was very VERY impressed ! I found a damask hat box, picture frame, Christmas ornaments, photo holder envelope, and picture frames for the candy buffet ( we are going to paint the ones pictured red and black ).

So this wedding is pretty formal and I was wondering if instead of a formal rehearsal dinner the night before that an upscale bowling alley would be a little more fun and relaxing? I just really want my family and friends to have a good time.

iPhone Wedding Apps
My Newest Addiction !
I'm not sure how I ever lived without my iPhone, the thing is just amazing. I have just recently started downloading applications on it ( the best yet is RunKeeper.. if your a runner I HIGHLY recommend that one.. buts that NWR) and my first two lines are FULL of wedding apps ! LOL. Of course I have my WBC icon and Offbeat Bride icon first. Then I have the wedding day countdown, wedding 911, and the wedding dash game! They even have an app to help you find your dress and to find local vendors ! LOVE IT !!!!

I Love Damask!
Finds from JoAnn's, Target, & Ikea !
Today my MOH and I did a little shopping. We found a fabulous damask photo album ( holds 300 photos ) at Joann's, a damask picture frame at Target, and we picked up 25 ( already bought 25 a few weeks ago ) more red votive holders and candles from Ikea !

What should I include ??
My MOH and I are creating an Out of Town Booklet for our out of town guests. The problem is that we're not sure as to what we want to include. I want: a welcome note, a weekend itinerary, some detailed maps (maybe from Google) of the area and maybe a quiz about Ben and me.
What do you ladies think? Are these good ideas? What would you include to make your guests feel welcome? I want these booklets to be a couple pages long. Maybe 5 or 7 pages. How big would you make your booklets? We're getting these books done at Kinko's because they have good rates and we can only create some much stuff for the wedding ! Lol !! |
