Dress 3 definitely gets my vote, I love the detail on the train bustled up.

I think 2 and 3 are the best. 2 is more "classic", understated and I really like it with that veil.  I love the bustle with number 3 though. I think though #2 gets my vote - looks great on you.

sisan:  I went to a bunch of bridal salons and asked for the LARGEST poofy crinoline for every cinderella dress I tried on - they are all absolutely GINORMOUS.  It is without a doubt, a loooooot of dress with this type of crinoline.  This one is from David's Bridal.  It is the largest one that they sell.

I like dress #2 the best :)

I think #2 looks the best on your body type.  You look great, I also like #3, depends on if you want a lacey dress or a simpler one.  You can't go wrong with either.

I am a fan of #2, I like how the top of it cuts (not as harsh as the straight line in #3).

i too thought i wanted a poofy look, but it made me look like i was 300lbs.. mine is monique lou all lace with pearls... i love the dress bc i too am going for a classy vintage look. To me dress number 2 looks very elegant on you and like i said i went WOW...  i just like that vintage lace style bc they are more body fitting and no matter what body style you have it takes the flaws out....

I think that 3 is the most flattering on you (although you have a perfect shape so they all look wonderful!!) You can tell that the material is satin on dress #3 compared to (i think #2 looks like taffeta). I prefer satin in pictures...it looks more "expensive" I think :) Good luck with your decision!!!

ikaufman:  this is truly a crazy process.  i thought the same thing, i was going for the cinderella look and was convinced that is what i wanted.  Then i did the dumbest thing possilbe - tried on a dress that was nooooooothing like what i wanted originally and in turn, fell head over heels in love.  Wooooo - i am so jealous for your Monique gown - what style number is it???

future dr braun:  i agree with you totally, i think 3 is better for my figure and I believe it hides my "flaws"  - i.e. my ginormous hips a lot better than dress 2.  My friend just told me that I look like I am retaining water in the second dress, gotta love the no holds barred honesty of really close friends.  LOL!  I am still torn because dress 2 is simply stunning - thank you for your input!

I love #2 because of all the detail-who doesn't want to sparkle.  #3 is nice too, but not liking how there is detail in the back where you cant see it.....not like #1.  Have you had any dreams about either one..which one made you feel like a princess-or the one you want to go and try on again and again?  When is your wedding?  You might want to stop looking and make your decision on these few that you just posted.  You look great in both, but which one makes you feel good...

jen jen:  my wedding is in december.  That is funny you should ask about which one I have been dreaming about, my BM's and I were just having this conversation:  if you ask which one has been on my mind it is definitely dress 2.  Although if you ask which one i think is more like a wedding princess gown, i would say dress 3.  I feel good in both, i like the sparkle in dress 2 and the lines are so classic - but dress 3 has me convinced that it shows better on my body.  However, dress 2 is simply stuuuuuuunning!  Can you see where I am going with this - incredibly confusing...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the second dress... in the last pic of you and the other bride I think you look the best and exsp with that dress... its more interesting and unique (although both are beautiful), I would count number one out.. its just blah. haha good luck

Honestly, you look great in dress #2, but if its going to make you feel self conscious even without spanx then go for #2.  I was having the same issue when choosing a dress, my mom really wanted to see my in a mermaid style and all I saw in the mirror was my ass and stomach and I ended up going with a straight a line dress which still shows my curves and doesnt make me feel like I would have to wear saran wrap underneath-lol.  I say go try them on again.  You can always add more bling to the dress #3 or accessorize to the max-sparkly veil, headpiece earring bracelt necklace.....

You look amazing in #2!  You have way too perfect of a figure to hide it behind a big A-line skirt like 1 or 3.  The details on 3 are beautiful and have a very "classic elegance" feel, though, so I can see why you like that one.  But really, hands down it MUST be #2!

jen jen:  Ha! you hit the nail on the head.  Although, i don't think self-conscious would be the word i would use, it is more like really really really aware of my hips in this dress LOL!  I was just talking to one of my bridesmaids and she flat out told me that I look heavier in dress 2 than in the others and that got me thinking.  Will people be staring at my mid section as I am walking down that scary long aisle and say something about my ginormous hips???  i am not wearing SPANX in this pic although you gave me a good idea - maybe i will go back and try it on with a grandma girdle and see if i like it better.  Thank you for that thought!  Although, I absolutely loooooooove dress 2 to death.

I already voted but wow you got lots of feedback...I'm curious to know what the final decision is. I had the same issue when picking my dress...I teeder in the store for probably an hour between 2 - one was the one i picked when we went the first time and the other was a new one I picked that day when I went to buy the one I picked first time.

So the consultant literally had be try 1 on, then 2, then 1, then 2, then veil and over...I ended up doing the new one I picked that day...#2

So hard to decide but I'm still happy with my choice and can't wait.

First of all, you look amazing in all of those dresses! But my fav is dress #2, I love the closeup detail of it with the beading and the contrast band at the empire waist. Lovely :)

texas my dress style number is CRL538 in ivory. It was the second dress i tired on at DB and i knew it was it... i was in love with it, i didnt even see myself in it n i felt something magical in my dress, once i saw myself i just busted out crying!

i tried on many more dresses, even came back a few more times but each time i went back to the ML dress.... i still second guess myself but once i go home and see it in person i just get that feeling all over again!

my advice to you is which dress makes u go WOW... or gives u that feeling of magic the most?

I just wanted to add that I went back and looked at the other 3 dresses that you had tried on before and I love dress number 2 and 3 (this round) the best out of all 6 of the dresses :) What a tough decision!!!

Make sure you take your time and really think about it! I feel like I bought my dress too quickly and now wish that I had more time to get opinions and reflect on my decision. But no matter what you decide, you are very beautiful and will look fabulous!!!!!!

PS I think your figure rocks in dress number 2 so no need to feel self-consious!!!

FUTUREDRBRAUN:  Awwwwwwwww, your comments made me smile.  Thank you for comparing these dresses to my previous post - I am in complete agreement with you.  My struggle is between dress 2 and 3 from this second post.  I wouldn't worry about your dress choice, I am sure no matter what I pick there will still be SERIOUS doubts on my part.  So, I can completely relate to your comment.  There will always be something else that catches our eye and make us think twice about our choices.  But, if you loved the dress so much that you actually put money down and make a conscious effort to buy it - it is the perfect dress for your day.  Good luck!!!

texas: yes my dress is very similar.. thanks... i love it and i cant wait to show it off :) the only down fall of my dress is in pics u cant really tell the detail so i will make sure my photographer takes closes ups of my dress... the models just dont do the dress justice and i have 2.5months to go to wear it! i cants wait!

#2 ALL THE WAY!!!!  That dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you and it's soo flattering for your figure!!  #3 is nice too, but I just don't think the poofy princess type of gown is the right look for you...and I guess maybe that's why I didn't actually leave a comment on the 1st set of dresses you tried on.  But now that I've seen dress #2 on you...that gets my vote 100% and I think it's the perfect type of dress for you and for your figure!!  I don't know how I feel about the lace veil to go with it though, I kinda like the long cathedral length veil a little bit more since the dress itself already has plenty of lace details in it...but either way my vote goes for #2!!! ;-)

Ok so I just went back and read several of your comments on this post...especially about how you think your hips look too big in dress #2...let me just say girl you are CRAZY!!!  You have a body that a ton of brides on here would die for so there's nothing to feel self-conscious about trust me!!!  I will be honest with you...I have yet to post a single picture of me in my dress on here cause I hate how fat I look in those pictures!!  I don't feel self-conscious about myself on a daily basis, I'm very happy with who I am so don't get me wrong...but I hate looking at pics of myself the day I went to try on dresses (so I never even posted them)!!  I wanted soo badly for other brides to vote on which dress they liked the best, but I actually bought my dress the same day right off the rack so there was no need for any voting...but still I couldn't even bring myself to post any pictures of me trying the dresses on after the fact!!  So please don't say anything bad about yourself or about your hips cause you are a beautiful girl and you have a beautiful figure and I think dress #2 does the best to show off your figure!!!  When I look at you in any of the other dress, I think the poofier style actually makes you look bigger than you really are...but maybe that's just me.  So please don't let any of your friends tell you that you look bigger in dress #2 cause that's not true...and I don't know what kind of true friends would actually say things like that in the first place!!  So anyways, please just take some advice from a bride who definitely isn't a size 2 (my dress is a size 18!!)...you look AMAZING in dress #2 and that still gets my vote!!!!  If that's the one you love and that's the one that makes YOU feel the most beautiful, then please go with your heart!!! ;-)

Dress #2. I think it is the most flattering on your body. You have a great hour glass shape, don't feel like it's showing all your flaws, it's great on you! The top of #3 is a little harsh and it flattens you out (sorry, but it just looks funny) in the pictures. I think it's the seam across your chest that looks strange, it just doesn't belong in the middle of your chest. Other than that #3 is nice as well. #1 is my least favorite, I'm not sure why, I just don't like it as much. #2 is just stunning on you!

I love dress #2 on you!  It's really pretty, really compliments your figure!  I think the lacy veil is too much though, the dress is so pretty and lacy and sparkly that the veil takes away from it.

Next I like #3 but I don't love it., It feels like the "waist" detailing is a bit too low, and the neckline is so straight across.

I'm personally not a fan of the "pouf" skirt.  It just feels more juvenile in my opinion.

I love #2 on you. the other two look so plain compared to this one. When you are standing next to the girl wearing dress #3, its #2 that steals the show. If I had to list them in order it would be 3, 2, 1. It looks so beautiful on you.

I like both 2 & 3 too.  But the second dress looks like it was made for you.  It fits perfectly. The 3rd one is beautiful too - I like the details when it's bustled but I have to agree with futuremrsweikle about the line in the middle of your chest but maybe that's because all of the gathering in the front wasn't placed right after you put it on.  I have an evening gown with the same top design - I have to make sure all of the lines are right after I put it on - FH acutally adjusts it for me.

im2babyblue4u:  OMG!!!  You have touched my heart in ways that I can't describe inside this little text box.    THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for those beautiful words that have placed such a huge smile on my face - your comment has given me such a warm feeling.  To be honest, I truly thank my friends for their honesty - it is not like she  was trying to be mean, in fact she did say the second dress did look nice - although in her eyes, in comparison to dress 3 I looked a bit bigger than what I actually appear in casual everyday clothing.  Again, it is her opinion and as my mom always said - opinions are like belly buttons (everyone has one and it is unique to each person).  But, I thank you for defending me and my rounded hips - you are adorable!!!

As far as your size 18 frame - you can rock a dress ANY darn size that you may be.  It matters not what you THINK you see in the mirror, your man fell in love with you and asked you to spend the rest of your life by his side.  That speaks volumes!!!!    You will be the most beautiful bride on your day and you will take that dress and wear it better than any other bride that may be a size two could.  As a matter of fact, you WILL rock it BETTER!  Why? -  because you are a confident beautiful girl who is proud of the way she looks.  I can tell that from the way you expressed yourself in your comment.  Everyone has a certain part of their body they wish they could change, alter, enhance, add or subtract - that is just human nature.  Although, do not be timid - go ahead and show the rest of us crazy brides your beautiful dress, we are all going through the same indecisions, confusion and worries.  This is why we are here - to help each other out.

texas: in some way yes im a lil biasaid but i think  im2babyblue4u nailed at what i was looking at as well. I comapared the two pics of the back view and the 2nd dress shows ur beautiful figure the most. take a pic side by side of dress 2 n 3 not lookig at anything but the way u tot look in it. dress 2 start at ur thighs to spread out whereas dress 3 start at ur hips hiding your figure.

i didnt want to go into that detail but since im2babyblue4u told u what i was thinking there ya go. im still in the wow factor of 2 as the gown is not so common.

wow this is a close call but i'm going to have to go with #2 (i just happen to really like trumpet gowns :).  but they all look beautiful!

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments and I'm soo happy if I could put a huge smile on your face and brighten up your day!!!!  At this point our wedding is only 3 WEEKS away from TODAY!!! OMG....so I think I'll just wait until after the wedding to post pics of me in my dress (that way all the brides on here can see my complete bridal look with hair and make-up, etc.)!!  And besides, when I bought my dress it had everything I was looking for except for a lace-up back...well this sweet little old lady I know offered to alter it for me for FREE cause she used to work in a bridal shop...so now it has the lace-up back that I always dreamed of and it's literally what I would call my "dream dress" now!!!  So don't worry I will definitely be posting up pics after the wedding, but at this point I think I'd rather wait to post pics of it so I can leave the lace-up back part as a surpirse...especially just in case anyone (mainly my fiance) discovered my page and saw my dress before hand!!  

Anyways, so please keep all of us posted about which dress you end up deciding to buy (but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for #2)!!!! ;-)

futuremrsvince:  I've never been into the trumpet gown look unitl I tried on the darn thing - like I mentioned before I went into the story thinking princess cinderella gown and then i saw this gorgeous gown on the mannequin and the rest is history.  THis gown has been challenging every thought about what a bride should wear on their day.  Ugggggh!  confusion stinks!!!!

please keep your fingers crossed for me, i might be going in a totally different direction if I can't make up my mind between all of these...  I am at a 90% with one dress, but it doesn't grab me a full 100%.  If after trying on again this weekend, I still can't make up my mind - i might have to search different avenues.  Ugggh!  I wish I could try on during the week, but I get out so late from all my appointments, I just never have the time.  Thank you ladies for all your thoughts and well wishes.  I will keep you all posted!

I got lucky and tried the dress on and just busted out crying, its was the second dress i tried on... i did try on more dresses and went back another day to try more and it was the same feeling...

I looked on the DB website and saw the price of #3, and Allure Bridal has a VERY similar one (8617) with a lower price.  Although, I don't know how the price would be where you are, but I got it for $820.  Just thought I'd let ya know.

ikaufman08:  thank you for your happy vibes, I am so glad you had a great experience - I actually wrote to the main office about my experience with David's.  They apologized and gave me their little speech about trying another one of their stores so I could see about getting better service.  The manager from another David's called and scheduled an appointment with me and basically told me I would get the red carpet treatment.  Even though she seemed gracious enough, I just didn't like the idea of having to deal with their "lousy" sales pitches.  I mean do I really need to get the dress, bra, headband, veil, shoes, crinoline, and on and on and on - can't I just stop at the dress and veil... geeesh!  Sorry for the long rant - like i mentioned before this has been a tough checkmark.  I have been saving a bit of money and have decided to visit a reputable designer dress shop instead.  Thank you again for your well wishes - I will definitely keep you posted.

I like the style of dress #2!  You will have that a-ha moment.  Good luck with your dress shopping.  You would be surprised that some dress designers have much better quality dresses at either the same price or just $100 more than DB....I had a horrible time dress shopping and put it off...and then I ended up with a dress that I didn't imagine that I would look good in, but it was great!! an A-ha moment!....So best of luck, don't rush in to a decision too quickly...by the way, I don't think the hips is an issue for dress #2 at all.

JU JU BEE - YOu have no idea how your words ran true for me this weekend, "some dress designers have much better quality dresses at either the same price or just $100 more than DB....I had a horrible time dress shopping and put it off...and then I ended up with a dress that I didn't imagine that I would look good in, but it was great!!"   OK - soooooooo true - My amaaaaazing mom decided to surprise me with a few more dollars to up my budget for the dress and I went to a more reputable store this weekend and fell in love with some incredible DESIGNER GOWNS,  yes, you read right - the difference between my original DB dress and the one I tried on this weeked was $189.00 - I could not frickin believe it.  I was sooooooooooooooo floored, I am making my final decision this FRIDAY!!!!  I will update you this upcoming weekend, I am so frickin excited!!!!

JEN JEN:  You are so frickin' cute!!!!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH for your support - This dress thing will FINALLY be solved by this weekend!!!  I can now shout that from the mountain tops!!!!  My awesome mom upped by budget and I can now afford a dream dress - I am doing a HAPPY DANCE RIGHT NOW!!!   I will definitely let you know by this upcoming weekend, because the lady said the dress I had my eye on will be there this Thursday so I can try it on this weekend, woo hoo!!!  So EXCITED, AND I just can't hide it!!!  Again, thank you BUNCHES for your happy thoughts, you are truly AWESOME!!!

JEN JEN:  UPDATE!!!!  The lady from the bridal salon left me a voicemail that the dress will be here Friday.  This means I can finally try her on this weekend - I am soooooo excited! I will post pictures of the dress as soon as I have my try-on - BTW, I was just looking at your blog and everything looks super adorable.  You are going to rock your day!!!  I am sending you lots and lots of happy vibes your way!!!!!

- keep your fingers crossed for me in hopes that the dress looks as amazing on as it does on in pictures.  Uggggh!  It has happened so many times, something looks amazing on the pretty, petite model and then when I try it on, I end up looking like a water-retaining sea cow!  Ha! omg i love the 2 and 3...soo funny cause i tried on #2 myself!! it is soo beautiful but the fabric was too heavy for me and ended up making my rear look small...no bueno..but are u having a night time wedding cause 2 would look amazing and glow under the lights its very sexy and vintage....3 is wow and classic.....u look amazing in both..
