Problems with Darling Damask..Anyone Else Having These Issues??
My orginal plan was to purchase or rent damask runners from Darling Damask for my wedding in April. People have raved about the company, and I was so excited that I had found a company that actually made the runners and had reasonable prices. The problem I have run into, is I have contacted them three times (twice through e-mail and once through the contact page on their website) and I have not heard back from them. I originally wanted to purchase or rent a couple of runners to use at my food tasting and decor run through that is being done today, to make sure that I like the damask pattern I had picked out from their website, but no one from the company ever responded to me. So not only do I not have runners for the decor run through today, but I am also quite worried that they are not going to be a realiable source for me to get runners from for my wedding. Is anyone else having this problem? What do you all think I should do?? What other companies are you all using to obtain your damask runners?

How do you add a design to your blog?
How do you put a design on your profile/blog? I've seen lots of profiles with cute backgrounds, but I can't figure out how to do it. Also where do you go to get the html coding?

Thanks girls!

Wedding Planning Marathon
Who knew planning a wedding from a 1000 miles away could make things so much more difficult! After spending 5 days in my hometown on a wedding planning marathon, I can definitely say I feel very productive and yet there is still so much to do. We now have a date, a location for the wedding and reception, a caterer, a photographer and a wedding coordinator. I feel like we got so much done and then I look at my list and it seems like we've only just begun! If you are planning a long distance wedding and have any suggestions ony how to make things easier, please let me know!

The Proposal
How it all began....
I realized I should start from the beginning and fill everyone in on the proposal and how my FH and I meet. My FH and I were friends for years before we started dating. We meet at Texas A&M University. Some people say it was fate or destiny that brought us together. My freshman year, his sophomore year, we lived in the same dorm, I ended up becoming a little sis for his fraternity, and we ended up being the same major and having a lot of the same classes together. It wasn't until my senior year that we starting dating. This past March after being together for 3 1/2 years, he surprised me with a trip to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. He set up a private dinner on the beach at our hotel. During the dinner, this lady came up to us and told us that as a part of the dinner, we got to write a love note or wish for each other. She then has us attach the messages to white doves and we released the doves. After the release of the doves, I started worrying about the stupid birds, that it was Mexico and they didn't care about animal rights and there was no way the birds were going to get the little backpacks off that were carrying our messages. My FH kept trying to calm my fears and my guilty conscious throughout the dinner. Luckily towards the end of the dinner, the lady came back with our messages. It turns out the doves were trained to fly to a special location so our messages could be retrieved. The lady gave my message to him and then his message to me. I opened his message and it said "Will you marry me?" I think at that point I said "What?" I was so surprised..I seriously thought he was never going to ask. He got down on one knee and proposed. It was so romantic and everything I could have ever dreamed of! He did such a good job and I love my ring!

I'm a damask bride and proud of it! When I orginally saw the design and decided to use it, I had no idea it was such a hot design/theme. My FH and I are getting married in the Spring of 2010 in Austin, Texas. The colors for our wedding are black and white. We're infusing the damask design through table runners, overlays, etc.
