CAKE STAND!

Thanks to Unpredictablebride's post "Bad A$$ Cake stand", I just had to give it a try. So, I went out to Lowe's this weekend and got me a peice of 16X16 glass ($4.89) and four glass vases from the dollar general ($4.00), and Vawala! Cake stand! The glass is kind of flimsy from Lowes, so , I'm thinking about going to another glass shop to get it thicker or I may even try a Mirror...but the over all look is just BEAUTIFUL,and so different from other cake stands and it's CHEAP!! Thanks for the post Unpredictablebride!! You're the best!!

I'm doing a four teir stacked cake, so my glass/mirror will need to be thicker to support the cake. And that's a great idea Houstonbride2010, I may put clear crystals and led lights....to match my small center peices! Thanks for the Idea!  And I SO encourage you ladies to try this...it is simple and very inexpensive!

This is SUCH a fantastic idea.....I've been searching everywhere for a cake stand and I either can't find any that I like or the ones I do like cost a million dollars! lol...I will definitely be giving this a try!!! Thanks for sharing:)

Yes NMeadows, you are absolutely correct about the cake stands being a MILLION dollars!!  I was so happy when unpredictablebride posted this...I just HAD to try it!  And it is a great alternative to the expensive shindigs!

That is HELLA cool!  Isn't this amazing?I used this set up to for Easter Tea with friends and family and there was a lot of comments on how beautiful the stand was. LOL  SOLD!
