Non Traditional Ceremony Music
When deciding on the ceremony music we would have at our wedding, I wanted to make sure that the songs were non traditional and really had meaning to us. So here are the songs we're using for the ceremony:
Walk down the aisle: Closer To My Dreams by Goapele Pronouncing of Marriage: Edward Scissorhands Theme Song We are getting married in November so the last song is beautiful and conveys that feel of winter. Plus, it's just so ethereal. Have any of you chosen non traditional music for your ceremony to switch things up? |

Booked The Florist
Today I booked my florist for an amazing deal. A friend from work told me about a deal she found on DealFind.com where you would get $800 worth of florals for $99.
You get: 1 20 Rose Bridal bouquet 3 12 Rose Bridesmaid bouquet 1 12 Rose Toss Bouquet 1 Flower Girl bouquet 6 boutonnieres 2 Mother Corsages We added some bling to my bouquet for $5 extra, turned the Toss bouquet into another Bridesmaid bouquet and ordered 4 more boutonnieres for a total cost of $145. I went in for a consultation today and got to see what a sample bouquet would look like. My mom and I fell in love and could not be happier. On top of that, the florist is literally a 5 minute drive from my house. So happy this is taken care of. |

First Dance as the new Mrs. Fitz
So FH and I are back to All About Our Love by Sade. He really wanted to get the first dance over with and I get that. Having all those people staring at you can be nerve racking. No more Keith Urban. Back to NAshville you go.

Wedding Flowers
They are perfect!
I got my wedding flowers today and they are absolutely perfect. Even my FH loved them. It was so exciting to see another element of our wedding coming together. My mom saw them too and couldn't get over how realistic they look. I would definitely recommend this ebay seller again. Such beautiful work. I am so happy.

Wedding Hair Style
Decided not going with a veil
So I just received the veil I bought and tried it on with my dress. It's a beautiful veil but I feel that it takes away from my dress and hair. My FH agrees on the no-veil deal. He thinks I look beautiful without it too. I always thought that I would feel like a real bride if I had one but that thought has changed. Now I feel better than ever about my outfit. Gotta love my baby.

Bridesmaids
My Girls...Best Decision Ever
I am so happy that I am only having 2 bridesmaids because that keeps things really simple and I have two people that are very close to me by my side. Originally, I had a different MOH but after some soul searching realized that I made the wrong choice. I told her about my decision and that was that. I knew I had to ask my good friend Teresa to do me the honours. She was the first person I ever made friends with when I moved to Brampton and we have been through happy and really trying times together. Bottom line is no one knows me the way she does. To my delight she said yes and we both cried like a bunch of little girls.
My bridesmaid is my future sister-in-law, Jenn. She's so great and we get along amazingly. She's also a sweetheart and caring too. I couldn't imagine not having her there with me. Both of these women, I know, I will grow old and grey with and I'm looking forward to it. |

I am feeling so blessed. A man that provides my company with higher end taxi services has offered my his brand new stretch limo for my wedding. He has a really good relationship with my mom because she always calls his company before the crappy city taxis and gets his invoices processed promptly. I feel so lucky to have such generous people in my life.

DJ is booked...and it's my bro
This is the best deal I could have gotten on a DJ. When my brother found out Josh and I were engaged he told me that he would provide all of his company's DJ equipment and music for our wedding for FREE. He's a great DJ and MC and really knows how to get the party started. We're going to work it out so that he can still enjoy our wedding without working too much. If anyone in the GTA (Toronto/Mississauga/Brampton area needs a reasonably priced DJ let me know. You will not regret it. I'm so excited.
Also, my FH and I chose our first dance song. It's short and sweet. All About Our Love by Sade. |

Do I need a crinoline?
Just wondering, I've been seeing so many brides with beautiful gowns on but they always mention not wearing the crinoline yet. I need advice with this. Is this essential? If you look at my wedding gown from my previous post does it look like I need one? Any opinions on this. Your help is so appreciated.
