Wedding Shadow Box
I found a really cute idea to save your mementos.....a shadow box.
You can use various things like your dried bouquet, pictures, garter and various keepsakes..... Step 1 - Select the Shadow Box First, you will need to think about what you want to put in your wedding keepsake shadow box. There are many special things from your wedding day which can be included in your shadow box. These could include a selection of photos, some dried flowers from the wedding bouquet, the party favors or perhaps the wedding invitation. Now you know what is gong to go inside the shadow box you should choose a shadow box which is big enough. There are lots of stores which stock shadow boxes including home hardware stores and craft stores. Step 2 - Decoration Take the back off the shadow box and then decide which covering you want to use to make it look more attractive. There are many different coverings which you can use including crumpled paper, material, or patterned paper. You can fix this onto the backing of the frame using spray adhesive or double sided tape. Step 3 - Arrangements You should then think about how you want to arrange the various items in your shadow box. Just play around here until you get the right look. This is actually very easy and you can have some fun doing this. Experiment until you get a shadow box that you are happy with. Then use double sided tape or pins to fix the items inside the shadow box. Of course if you're not happy with anything then you can move it. Step 4 - Decoration Once you have finished arranging the items you should then work on the decoration. Use paper flowers, stickers, sequins and glitter to make the shadow box look much more attractive. There is no right or wrong answer here, you can decorate the items however you want and use whatever you like. Step 5 - Assembly When you have gotten everything to look the way you like you can then re-assemble the shadow box. Put the backing back into the shadow box and then fix it inside the frame. Step 6 - Hanging the Shadow Box All that's left to do is hang the shadow box on the wall or place it on the desk. Not all shadow boxes come with hanging hardware and so you may need to purchase hanging hardware from your home hardware store. Handing a shadow box is simply a matter of knocking in a nail and hanging the shadow frame on it. |

We did it!!!! I'm a Mrs. now!!!
These are pics a good friend of mine took @ the wedding. She photographs weddings in the chicago area ( NGB Studios International on facebook) & did such a great job! She had them edited less than 24hours later....she is so awesome!!!!
We such a great time! I was on the dance floor almost the whole night!It is true that the time goes by fast....I want to do it all over again....lol We leave for Cabo on Sunday & I'm glad I have some down time to catch up on everything........before the honeymoon!!! |

The Container Store has CANDY SCOOPS!!!
I just ordered my candy buffet scoops online at the Container store.....they were $1.49 each for 2.6 oz size.
I found a promo code online WR0410 for 20% off & got 6 scoops for $7.14! They have in store pickup.... so I saved on the shipping!!!! I'm so excited! w/ 11 days to go I did not want to pay a fortune for palstic scoops!!!!! I was going to order mine from oriental , but the shipping was too much! |

I decided to send out invites for the rehearsal dinner? Does anyone have any good poems for the invites?

1st time.....love it!!!
So, me & my mom went ot Hobby Lobby today to look for these tins. Well, when I walked in I saw a sign....bridal sale 50% off!!!!
I found a bridal hanky- $3.50 black & white swirl labels - $1 each mints in a tin $1 each & then they had glass containers for 50% off too!!!! Who needs a coupon, when they have sales like this!!! I also got 2 glass containers for my candy buffet....$2.50 each!!! I should have been coming to Hobby Lobby all along!!!! Paper Lanterns!
I saw a really cute pic w/ paper lanterns as ceremony decoration & I fell in love! I think I must be crazy to add new thing sw/ only 15 days until the wedding!

Kids at the wedding
We are having 6 kids and 4 teenagers at our wedding. We stated adults only, but we realized some people would bring their kids....so it wasn't a big deal.
I found some really cute activites for the kids on oriental trading for like $3 bucks & I have coloring books, activity books, crayons and an easte egg magnet craft kit ....self adhesive ;-) . I also saw a website that said to include fruit snacks, crackers & a juice box. So w/ all of that the kids are good! What in the world do I do w/ the teenagers.....that is such an awkward age, not sure what would be "cool" enough for them to do! any ideas would be great!!! www.myjennryan.com - had a really cute template for a kids wedding activity book. |
