Got my hair comb last night :-)
I found my hair comb last night at David's Bridal. It's so pretty and so versatile! the flowers are on a silver wire, so you can move them around easily. I'm thinking the two hairstyles pictured I like the best. And then I love how Jessica Alba's makeup looks here! My hair and makeup trial are on Monday!

Bridesmaids: Which jewelry set do you like?
Okay, so I still don't know what to do about the bridesmaids' jewelry. I have told them that i will take care of it and i just can't decide!!
Image 1: cute tear drop Betsy Johnson earring that matches the dress perfectly!! But no necklace! I think it looks elegant without a necklace and the earrings are just adorable! Image 2: close up of the image 1 earring Image 3: Nine West necklace/earrrings set. These are a matted gold and I think it's nice and they'll definitely wear them again. For some reason I think the necklace is a little much, but gold is my accent color and it does look nice. I just don't know what to do!! |

Wine Tour Bachelorette Weekdend
So fun!!
So, this past weekend was my wine tour bacheloretty party in Northern Virginia. It was peerrrrfect! My bridesmaids and family did an awesome job!!
We started off the weekend on Friday night just hanging out and eating pizza, got some good sleep and headed off to my aunt's house to start the winery tour! We pull into my aunts housing complex and there is a big Excursion Limo in the driveway!!! i was dying!! i don't think I have ever screamed so loud! We went inside, where everyone got their own wine glass with their name on it and i got one with my face painted on it! it totally looked like me! and my sister (MOH) made everyone a CD with my favorite songs on it! We listened to it in the limo all day. Then we jumped aboard the decorated limo and started out! We went to Breaux Vineyards first, which is one of my favorites, then Notaviva, then Sunset Hills. I had never been to the latter two, but loved them! can't wait to go back! We tasted and drank and laughed and drank! it was such a blast and i have a permanant grin on my face! i can't stop thinking about it! everything was so wonderful and so thought out! my sister got me all sorts of little goodies...pj pants with wine glasses on them, a Lolita wine glass that has a blue garter on it, a veil with grapes, flip flops with grapes, a bride to be sash, a bag to put it all in! a frame for everyone to sign! there is so much to remember, thank God for pictures! we have 100's of pics! A few are posted! i feel so loved and so appreciative of my wonderful family and friends for gathering together and doing this for me. It really was perfect. p.s. Thanks Heather! I know you are reading this!! I love you and can't believe you guys put all this work into my winery tour!! it was awweeesoome! LOVE YOU! |

2 Months To Go!
So, two months to go! I can't believe it! 60 days! I know it is going to go by so fast! I am starting to really get things together. Bigs things left to do:
hair appointments (having trouble finding a salon!) rehearsal invitations guys fitting for tuxes (FH is doing!! Yikes) programs meet with minister narrow down ceremony order parents's gifts whiten teeth okay, now i'm panicking! gotta go! |

I did a mock table the other night. I bought 9 purple organza overlays for half of our guest tables. we will have ivory linens on all tables. the gold hurrican lamp with candle will be on the tables that have the overlay and then the plain linen tables will have the really tall floral centerpiece. It should look really pretty! i found the overlays on Craigslist for $75!!!!

Coworker wants to bring a Guest, of course...
Okay, so we limited our guest list to adults only. So for those people that are single (no serious relationship or significant other), we didn't include "and Guest" on the invtiation. Well, it's already starting! One of my corworkers (i only invited my small dept of 5 people), has just walked up to me and said, "oh i got your wedding invitiation, i'm excited, i just have to come up wtih a date now!"
UGH!!! exactly what i didn't want to encounter. I just kind of stared at him stunned. I wasn't ready for it! HAHAH! Soo, does anyone have suggestions on how to tackle this politely? If he was the only one that was single, it wouldn't matter, i would just let him bring someone, but he isn't, another lady is and if she sees he could bring a date, she'll wonder why. maybe i just let them both bring dates. oh gosh! |

So, i had my first fitting on Saturday and the alterations came to $260 USD!!!!!!! that's ridiculous! All i need done is a hem and bustle? Nothing else!

i'm going for a vintage modern feel, is there such thing?!? our ceremony is at a university chapel that is absolutely gorgeous, and our reception is at a hall across the street, so no one has to drive anywhere! i can't wait to marry my best friend and spend the rest of our lives together! we just bought our first home together and i couldn't be happier! life is good.
