Is This Selfish:
I Regret Not Having a Wedding?!?!
Okay ladies. As some of you may already know, my husband and I eloped. We've been married for about two months and we're both happy. But, I have a question to ask.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish that we had a wedding with all of the bells and whistles. I look back at how we got married now and wish we would have done it differently. No family was there, no wedding dress, no reception, no pictures, nothing. I know that a wedding doesn't make the marriage, but I still want one you know. I look at things in the store and just think, man, we couldv'e had this at our wedding. I get a little sad when I think about it. Is it selfish of me to feel this way?!? Now I know that even if we decide to have one later, it wouldn't be considered a wedding, but a vow renewal. But, I would really like some advice on this. My husband doesn't seem too concerned with having a vow renewal, but it would mean a lot to me. |

Unique Way to Tell Hubby
THAT I'M PREGNANT!!!!
Yep. That's right ladies. Two months after getting married and I'm pregnant. Not having a honeymoon baby, but it's pretty darn close.
I don't have a due date as of yet, but I'm guessing that since I conceived between mid december to early january then the baby will be born around late September, possibly early October. I'm nervous, excited and happy. Now ladies, I need a unique way to tell him. Have any suggestions?!? Thanks!!!! |

Feeling a Little Homesick
How to Cope?!?!
Hey ladies.
I would first like to say merry christmas/happy hanukkah/happy kwanzaa to everyone. Hope everyone enjoys the holidays with lots of friends and family. Well, as some of you may know, I recently moved to Michigan. I've been here for almost 2 weeks. I'm feeling a little homesick, especially now since the holidays are here. I was extremely close with my mother and we talk a lot, but I still miss her a lot. It's not like I can just up and go since Michigan is so far away from California. My husband has noticed that I've been kind of moody these past few days (which I have). I've been having some mood swings too. I need to know how to handle the mood swings and the homesick feeling. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be with my husband and I wouldn't change that for the world. I mean, I did move across the country for him, so I think that says it all. But, I can't help but miss my family. What should I do ladies? Any of you brides get a little homesick after relocating? |

Ask a Question
Know of any work-from-home jobs?????
Hey ladies.
Well, everyone knows that things are kind of hard (with the economy and all). My husband works a full time job, however, I would like to make some extra money for us. I'm a full time student plus I have 3 children. I love being at home with my children, but I'd also like to make some money on the side. So, my question is, do any of you ladies out there know of any companies/businesses that have work from home positions? If you do, please let me know!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!! |

Been Away For Awhile....
So Much To Share
As you can see from the last post, I haven't been on here for a while. Things have been pretty crazy these past few weeks.
For one, I made the move from California to Michigan. I have been so tired these past few days from the move. I flew to Michigan, but still, being in a new place, trying to adapt to the weather (it's soooo darn cold out here), and adjusting to the time difference, I've been beat. I'm happy to be here though, back with my hubby. I finished up my two classes for the semester, which was a legal research class (hard stuff) and an intro to torts class. Moving the same week of finals was no easy task and you can bet I'll be sleeping good these next few weeks I'm off. My husband and I got our first place together. I'm so happy. I absolutely love it. I have to step back and just look at it because I still can't believe that we're married. It's wonderful. To top this all off WE HAVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! To some, it's no big deal. But hey, for me, it is. After all, I'm a Cali girl (LA to be exact) and snow is not something that we see all the time (2 hours away and on tv doesn't count). Our reception, which was supposed to take place in March of 2009 has been pushed back to June/July of 2009 :( A little sad about that, but it'll still be fun. So, I'll be on WBC a little longer than I though I would. YAY!!!!!!! I love this site. So, now we have to choose a new date and probably a new place. All the other things will pretty much remain the same though. Take care ladies!!!! |

Ask a Question
What's Your Wedding Color(s) and Why????
I'm just curious to see what other brides wedding colors are and why they choose that particular color scheme?
I know I can browse through each color selection to see, but I figured this would be an easier way to find out. For me, my colors are black and white with red as an accent color. I choose these particular colors because black and white are very traditional, clean, easy to match as well as classy. I decided that red accents would be nice because, well, most consider red to be the color of love. And there you have it. Originally, I was going to have a tiffany blue/platinum/and white wedding, but I decided against it. It's still a very beautiful color scheme (I know there are a TON of brides doing that color scheme), I really wanted to do black/white/red. So, what's your color scheme and why??? |

Ask a Question
How many of you are relocating?
I was just curious to see how many brides will be relocating due to getting married.
I'm moving next week (December 11th) to Michigan. I'm from California, so this is a big deal for me. I've never lived this far away from family before. However, I know that I've gained a new family since marrying. Any brides out there in Michigan? Any suggestions to a newbie like myself to the state of Michigan? Things to do, attractions, etc... My husband is from Michigan and since I've always wanted to live somewhere where it snows, we decided that I'd relocate there. I've been separated from my husband for three weeks, wrapping up the little things that I needed to do here in California before relocating. You better believe I'm ready to be back with him. MICHIGAN HERE I COME!!!! READY FOR SOME CALIFORNIA HEAT?!?!?!? =] |

How many of you ladies....
Would take boudoir photos during pregnancy???
I thought this would be an interesting topic to talk about!!!
I know that many brides (not just the ones on WBC) become pregnant shortly after getting married!!! Pregnancy can be a difficult time for most women. With the pregnancy symptoms (nausea, throwing up, body aches, etc), as well as the physical changes, some women have a hard time coping with it. The physical changes for some are overwhelming and it's sometimes hard to feel beautiful. Trust me on this. During my second pregnancy, I felt absolutely miserable about the way I looked. So, in order to feel beautiful and attractive, would you take boudoir photos while pregnant? The whole point of boudoir photography is to feel beautiful, sexy and attractive as well as remind the person you're giving it to about your beautifulness (is that a word =] ). What better time than pregnancy to take boudoir photos, so you can feel good about yourself, capture this precious moment, and give to your husband/boyfriend/fiance' a beautiful gift. No, I'm not pregnant (at least not yet =] ). My husband and I are trying to wait until the beginning of the year to get pregnant, but if it happens sooner, then it happens sooner. So, I've got a slight case of baby fever. I'm thinking about doing something like this for my husband, to give as a gift, but I wanted some opinions on it. |

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!
AS THE NEW MRS. HAYES!!!!
Well, I'm now a married woman!!!
YAY!!!! When I got to Michigan last Monday, it was really cold (34 degrees), but I was so happy to see my fiance' and his family. We went to his parents home and spent some time over there. On Tuesday, I got up and got my hair done. After that, I went to his parents to get ready (with the help of his sister) and he went home to get ready. After that, we went to the pastor (who is his uncle) and he married us. It was great even though it was just the two of us. I didn't get nervous until the very end. The rest of the week, we just enjoyed one anothers company. We started our registry at Target and at Bed Bath & Beyond. I came home on Friday. I think the best thing about being married is knowing that there is someone who loves you, who wants to spend their life with you. Knowing that you have someone to go home to and have someone in your corner. It's the best feeling in the world (next to pregnancy and childbirth). I never really thought about marriage and babies until I met my husband. Now I want to have a big family with him. It's amazing how you meet someone and want to spend your life with them and have children with them. I'm so happy!!! |

WELL, I'M OFF!!!!!!!!!
GETTING MARRIED ON TUES. 11/11!!!!
Well ladies, I'm getting married in less than 48 hours. I'm excited, nervous, and happy all at once.
I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and arriving in Michigan in the late afternoon. Man, that's a long flight, but soooooooooooo worth it =]. The weather in Michigan (as of right now) is snowy. OH NO!!!!! I don't think I'm prepared for snowy weather. I'm a Cali girl!!! You know what that means (flip flops and jeans). Hopefully there won't be any snow by the time I get out there tomorrow. My sisters (my fiances' sisters, but they're mine now too) are saying that it probably won't stick. Let's hope that it doesn't. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of my fiance' and I and post them on here once I get back. Oh yeah, and the ring. I finally get to see it!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Oh, by the way, when I come back, I'll be changing my date to 03/14/09, which is the day that we are going to have our reception. So, I'll still be around, to plan my reception and see what you ladies are up to. No, I'm not having two weddings. I just want to know how many days of planning I'll have left. The next time you hear from me, I'll be MRS. HAYES!!!! (I just love the way that sounds =] ) WISH ME LUCK!!!! SMOOCHES!!!!! |
