This man has expensive and rare taste!!! He absolutely HAD to have a plain, half-round, 22 karat gold, 7 mm width, weighing at least 14 grams wedding band....Do you realize how hard that was to find???? I finally found it after MONTHS of searching....Guess how much it hit for???!!! $1,066.00!!! One of my girlfriends got married in June and told me her husband's ring cost her $160..............................But because I Love him...He's worth it....

Selfish now Ex-Bridesmaid
Well, my longtime friend (from 4th grade!!!!) has officially dropped out of the wedding. I'm pretty pissed at her. I think it's selfish. I think she's irresponsible and immature and that's why she's in financial distress right now. Because she doesn't have her shit together. Not my fault. I've tried helping her get jobs and everytime she puts it off and has some excuse as to why she didn't follow through with applying/interviewing. Multiple times! And now look, she too broke to be in the wedding. She's not making any effort and not looking for any alternative ways to pay. So obviously it's not that big a deal to her. I'm done trying to teach her how to be an adult. Done deal, homegirl.
So now Marcus and I have uneven numbers. It's too late to find someone to replace her. She is going to try to sell her dress on Ebay. Good luck with that honey. |

Done deal. Well, they were actually done about a week ago--mailed last Saturday.... A tad bit late...I wanted to give people 8 weeks, but my DIY project took longer than anticipated...As usual. I'm such a perfectionist though, that time is not of the essence for me--perfection is! I could not live with myself if they didn't go out as I envisioned! Lol. We got two RSVP's back tomorrow. Officially 5 people coming! I hope people actually do this RSVP thing seeing as how we spent an extra $50 on stamps for them!

Shoes!
Finally Found...
After weeks and weeks of searching in stores and online (gosh I'm really hating shopping now--crazy, huh?), I finally found the perfect shoes. They are Christian Louboutin Very Prive peeptoes. I absolutely love them. I didn't want to settle for plain old wedding shoes. I wanted something that I could wear again after the wedding. No sense in just having them sit around in my closet! They'll be good to use on my honeymoon! I wanted to do RED shoes, but the soles being red will have to do because my FH thinks that red shoes would look ridiculous. He's already upset because he found out my dress is strapless and he doesn't dig strapless--says it's too revealing. Mine is very classy though!

Cake is Official!!!
So after a very long search--and I must say persistent and relentless search--for a good price on a great cake, I've found it! Sealed the deal today on my lunch...A BIG thanks to rodrhonda4ever here in Sac who recommended a few folks. I called Beth Parkins (check out her site http://bethscakes.jimdo.com/picture-gallery/wedding-cakes/
--great work!) , a cake decorating student, who is doing it for $400. If it turns our how we both envision it, then it will be fabulous and perfect for the night. She is very professional and I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm so excited about it! |

Dropping out with 8 weeks to go!?!?
WTF??????!!!!!!!!!! I am so irritated right now....Just got the most ridiculous TEXT (of all things--she couldn't CALL me???) from one of my best friends from childhood saying she can't afford to be in the wedding and needs ME to find someone to buy her dress from her...does she really think I need an added stress right now??? I understand her financial issues, but damn, I'm only getting married once and this chick doesn't want to be in my wedding?!? I already told her not to worry about the alterations and the shoes and jewelry--that I had her back on that. I don't know anyone else that can be in the wedding....All of my other close girlfriends live in different states...I'm so aggravated right now...I won't even respond to that text. And she had BETTER not expect me to pay her for that damn dress.
I'm sorry, but two of my bm's have pissed me off this week with the silly little selfish requests. One wants to drop out. The other doesn't want to go along with my choice for how they should wear their hair (which I came up with from consulting with ALL of them!) she wants to wear hers the same way I planned on wearing mine!!! AHHHH!!!! Anyone else having bridesmaid drama?? |
