I'm Back!
Things have finally settled down a little bit...
HI Ladies!
Well its official, I am Mrs. Green! The wedding was better than I ever could've imagined. After all of the worrying about weather (on the day of the wedding there was an 80% chance of heavy showers) it totally went around us and was gorgeous all day. Right when the ceremony started, the sun even came out so someone was defintely looking out for us. It was so fun, such a blur. I wish I could replay things all over again, I am so glad we hired a videographer. =) I posted a few pictures from our professional photographer, he did such a good job, we have over 500 pictures to pick from so that will be the hard part!! For all of you bride-to-bes out there, just relax and savor every moment of the day because it flies! Things happen, but it makes the memories from the day priceless and at the end of any wedding day, you will be married. Now we are starting to build our house, it will be done in October..exciting times! |

Weather
Ahhhhh!
So I am just able to start checking the extended weather forecasts for our wedding on June 13th...our OUTDOOR wedding on June 13.
It doesn't look good ladies, they are all pretty mixed but from what gather, there is a 60% chance of showers on the big day. I understand this could change as the day gets closer, but from your experiences with long term weather forecasts, do you find them to be accurate? I had a mini panic today and broke down because that is the ONE thing I CAN'T control and it is driving me nuts~!! We have 2 large tents put on hold but we only have until this coming Saturday to let them know whether we want them or not... I am tempted to not even look at the weather report again..its going to happen no matter what but it would totally bum me out if it rained out our outdoor wedding! Whats your experience with forecasting? What would you do with the tent rentals? |

RSVP frusteration
So this is a long story, I will try to abbrevaite it.
My mom has a very large extended family, and none of them are very close to my family. When we started making the lists for our wedding invitations, my mom insisted that we send invited to all of her cousins/aunts/uncles and she was sure they wouldn't come. Well somewhere along the lines, someone decided it would be a great idea to have a family reuinion the day after our wedding, in the same town! I was a little annoyed because you know what that means... ALL of my mom's cousins are coming to the wedding now, most of them I don't even know! Not only that, we specifically addressed the invitations to JUST the adults of the family, and when they sent the RSVP back, they included ALL of their kids! HOW RUDE! So now the wedding is 20+ people bigger than we ever planned and I am just frusterated...GRRR! Anyone share my frusterations with rude people RSVPing for their entire family? (Not to mention, hardly any of them RSVP's on time!!) |

Last Full Week of Work!
I am so excited, this is my last week of work before I am taking 2 weeks off for before and after the wedding! AHHH! It still seems like I have to much to do!
This week is going to be crazy..I have a meeting every day with various wedding vendors and we have to give the caterer the final headcount! Not going to lie, I am starting to get a little freaked out. Something about standing in front of 200 people makes my stomach churn! Any relaxation tips now? |

Wedding Hair Style
Trial Run
So I went to my hair gal today to get my trial run for wedding hair. I forgot my veil and tiara, so these pictures are not completely what it would look like..but you get the idea.
I am not sure I am completely sold with it, but I need your honest input as to what looks awkward/out of place with it. I am not sure about the bangs in the front, so let me know. I LOVE the back and how it turned out! Oh, and don't mind that it looks like I am not wearing a shirt...haha I was wearing a strapless tank top and you can't see it! |

Any of you giving a toast?
I don't know how this whole toasting business is supposed to work, are any of you planning on giving a toast at the rehearsal dinner? Is the bride-to-be supposed to say anything?
I read somewhere that on the wedding day, the bride is to be toasted to first, and then the groom. Does anyone know more about this than me? |

I have a question for you..I plan on having my band soldered to the engagement ring before the wedding so I can have it all together on the wedding day. How soon before the day would you recommened taking them in to have them soldered? At this point, we have just under 3 weeks..I just don't want to cut it close~! BTW- not my ring in the picture :) |

Flower Girl
Doing just fine!
Just have to do a little stress relief de-brief... my FH niece was born with a congenital heart condition..the prognosis was pretty scary for her growth and future health.
She is almost one now and just had a major heart surgery last week on Tuesday. This has been a major source of tension and stress for his parents and my FH. She had it in Oakland, CA and we weren't sure how she would do for the surgery..She is our flower girl (going to be pulled down the aisle in a wagon..cute!) and we were so worried about her. She is seriously the cutest little girl in the world and I am so relieved everything went okay. They released her from the hospital today and they should be flying back to Idaho on Friday! I am so happy! |

Wedding Video
what a great deal!
I was just planning on having one of my cousins videotape our wedding, just because the videographers that I had prices were ridiculous on their pricing and packages.
Well I just got off of the phone with my wedding coordinator, and there is a guy in her church who is in charge of videotaping the services. He said he would be happy to tape our wedding and would only be charging us $20 a hour for an edited copy of our ceremony and reception..so for 6 hours it is only going to cost $120!! What are you other ladies doing for videography? |

Too Expensive?
Hi Ladies, I don't know if you had seen my previous post about trial run makeup (if not, take look :) I had my makeup done by a girl at MAC cosmetics..I really liked the way it turned out and decided to go ahead and book the lady.
I thought it would be easiest for her to come to where we were all getting ready, just so we all didn't have to go over to the mall. I talked to her today and she said she was going to charge $60 for my makeup and $40 for any additional people. Does this seem too expensive to everyone? I want to look pretty and I like the way she did my makeup, but thats a lot of money! I still have to pay for hair trial run, nails and my hair on the day of! What do you all think? |
