shower/bachlorette
8 days till wedding & 2 days till shower
Ok wow.....my shower and bachlorette party is on sat (2 days) and it's "sex in the city style" so I have too find a fashionable outfit at a less expensive price since I can't really find anything in my closet and a fancy hat!! I would wear a dress....the only problem is we are going bowling later and I don't really want to bowl in a dress or skirt cause it's not going to be a regular bowling game. We are doing it different ways, different angles, etc. So a bit stuck on that! To add to this day is when family is coming first thing in the morning including one of my bridemaid (which im sooooo excited to see) and so I need to take her to my seamstress to get her alterations started (sure glad she is quick)
On top of all I have 8 days till the wedding day and I really wanna try to have most things done today and tomorrow. Working today, but off tomorrow and just meeting with the pastor, so got the rest of the day to shop for something and go hardcore on my project that are left!! Question for the ladies that the weddings are just days away or already married: Are your emotions out of wack, do you feel overwhelmed but really there is not a whole lot to do?? Just waiting for that day that I can be excited!! no time:( |

OMG only 12 days
Ok so i was not to bad up until now....I picked up my dress from alterations yesterday and my MOH was with me and picked up her's as well. I was doing pretty good I thought and people were asking if I was getting excited and I said that "I'm to busy to get excited yet" ok so today right now.....all of a sudden my nerves are really starting to act up a bit!! I still have a bit to do that I want to get done this week as I have family coming in this saturday and I want to spend as much time as possible. This saturday is my shower and bachlorette party...which I'm stoked about. We are doing a "Sex in the city theme" (speaking of which I have not idea what to wear beside I have to wear a fancy hat)
what do you ladies think? So my to do list finish up programs and print them Boutineers and crosages (still need to figure out what do to) table names finish parasols template for vows (since we are legally married, we are going to sign our vows instead, so template needed for both of us so we don't see eachothers vows) speeches buy all remaining items for centre pieces, head table pieces, chocolate fountain, sand for sand ceremony finalize on how I'm doing the backround for the head table finish layout for decor as my decor girls will not be able to go to the hall before hand to explain set up meeting with caterers on wed to finalize meeting with pastor on friday to finalize (have most of ceremony put together that we want) send Dj list asap There are probably a few other things I have to do but silly me forgot my bride bible at home (hehe) and Im at work. There seems to be alot of points, but I will have some help too....do you think that's alot to do? Thanks for listening |

Bari Jay Bridesmaid dress for sale
So since my one bridemaid had to step down for a valid reason. This didn't happen until after I order the dresses...so of course with it being final sale, I couldn't cancel it.
I picked all of the dresses up yesterday from the store and they are STUNNING!!! I would love to keep it for myself but I just can't afford it. So I'm hoping there is a lucky lady out there that would love this dress. It's a Bari Jay Size 14 color: Turqoise floor length Never been altered Only been out of bag to take these pictures I paid $180 for it and asking $180 because of the fact that it's still brand spanking new. Bridesmaids
Bridesmaid stepped down:(
Ok so had a chat with one of my good friend that was going to be one of my bridesmaid last night and well she had to step down:( cannot go into detail for the reason but I will say that it is a valid reason and her and her family come first priority. Plus she is lives like 7 hours away. She is an amazing woman and this will NOT effect our relationship at all!
So unfortunantly we ordered the dresses a couple months ago. So i will have an extra dress. Now my husband has only 3 on his side and I had 4 to begin with so do you think that was a sign to keep only 3 for me as well or should go to my next closest friend and hope they are simular sizes? (which have thought in the past in my picking stages) |

DIY Wedding
Update of DIY projects
Picture #1 - my toasting flutes that I made with rhinstones. I only paid $1 for each glass and added rhinstones...I thought that was quite the deal:)
Picture # 2, 3 & 4 - these are all my parasols so far....I have yet to finish them as I want to add little flowers and at the bottom saying ex: "Bride" Picture # 5, 6, 7 & 8 - This was the invitation process, it was fun times for sure:) we had them all done in about 3 hours. There was only about 80 invites to do. I stamped and sent them out 3 days ago and now it's the waiting game for rsvp by email:) so excited!! What do you girls think? |

I forgot to mention that I ordered my Flower girl dress last month! I so can't wait to get it in....my sister (6 years old flower girl) is going to look ADORABLE!

My dress is in!!!!
Oh my goodness I'm super excited my dress has finally arrived. It' feels like forever since I will have seen it! The crappy part is it's in Edmonton which is a 3 hour drive....so gotta plan a trip and bring my MIL, MOH and my mom!! and my Husband wants to come, hummm. Hopefully they give me a not see through garmet bag??

Bridesmaids
Dresses ordered!! Finally....
So over the past week or so, 2 of my dear bridesmaid's have been having financial trouble and we needed to order the dresses asap otherwise they could of been late...eeekkkkk, that is not what I needed. So went through and worked some stuff out. I figured out a way to pitch in and help out so we can at least order them. It's not they were expensive, it was just the two girls are going through some stuff.
So in saying that, I managed to collect all the measurements (cause a couple of them are not here in calgary), finalize and order...YAYYYY what a relief that was! So hopefully they will come in time for alterations. So picture #1 is what 3 of my bridesmaid's will be wearing but knee length. The knee length dress in picture #2 is what my MOH is wearing. I will say that the dresses in the picture does not do the justice. They look WAY better in person:) Oh and they will be in a blue-turquiosey color! Hope you ladies like ;) |
