Wedding Reception
Assigned Seating or Not?????
I'm thinking about having assigned seating. But, I don't want my guests to feel obligated to sit where I place them. I mean that's the whole point of assigned seating. But, I do feel it would help keep things a little organized.
Are you doing assigned seating???? Why or Why not? Help me out :o) |

Parasols....Done :o)
Finally :o)
Here they are ladies all 4 of them! I have finally completed painting my parasols. The one thing you can't see is the watermelon glitter on them as well. I am so happy I decided to do these instead of bouquets :o) My bm's will have floral wristlets to go along with these parasols. I will present them at our rehearsal dinner and I hope they love them as much as I do. I sure put alot of work into these, but it was all worth it.

OMG! I'm in double digits
My weekend project :o)
Well, Ladies Im in the double digits!!!!! I started painting my parasols for my BM's over the weekend. I am so pleased with the way they turned out. They are so easy to do, you just have to have patience. I know some of the brides out there usually post instructions for the various projects, they do. So, here are my instructions for painting your parasols
1. Purchase Parasols.....LOL! 2. On microsoft word choose a font, I chose AMAZONE. 3. Increase your font size to 500 4. Cut out extra paper around letters 5. Tape letters together to form name 6. Tape name to inside of parasol 6. Trace with pencil 7. Purchase Acrylic Paint (Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc.) 8. Purchase variety of different size tips (paint brushes) 9. Paint name (allow to dry overnight, to ensure dryness) 10. Done!!!!!! (you can even purchase some glitter glue to coordinate with your paint color if you choose, that's what I am doing, to add some bling in the sunlight) |

What are you doing for a Veil?
Ok, so unwillingly I tried on a blusher for my BM's on Saturday. (they were getting fitted for their dresses) so of course my friend Tenille said oh you just have to try one on.
So of course I did, I kinda like it. I really didn't want to wear of veil or tiara of any kind, just some jewels or combs with jewels on them. That was it. But, I really like the comb seen here in the pic, the blusher is a maybe at this point, but its only $24 from Davids, thats a really good price or so I hear anyway..... Any suggestions....Thanks a Bunch Ladies |

YAY!
Well Ladies, I'm almost to the 100 days to go mark...WOW!!! Anyway, my parasols came about a week ago...YAY!!! My mini clear favor boxes also came last week, that was an interesting task, the Honey and I were both trying to put 1 each together (of course the boxes are flat and need to be put together all 100 of them....:o) I think that took us about 10 minutes each.
I ordered more invitations and rsvp cards, cause of course I received a "You are Lucky" email (St. Patricks Day, last week) from vistaprint, which meant I could order 20 more of each for free, just pay shipping. I also ordered the favor tags for the boxes for $3.99 for 140. I designed the favor tags myself...I guess I'm not so bad at this DIY stuff :o) I also ordered the flower girl dresses today...really excited to see those for the girls :o) 108 days to go :o) |

Boxes on the Way!!!!
I finally decided on favors....I ordered some takeout boxes....YAY!!!!! I am so happy I found these mini clear takeout boxes....super cute :o) and I found them for $33 plus shipping....I ordered 100!!!! Thats right 100 for $33 plus shipping which turned out to be $38!! Other sites were charging between $60-$100 for 100. The cheapest I found was for 59 cents a piece. So as you may guess I was super excited when I found these for the price I did.
Check out efavormart.com, its AWESOME!!!! I'm just going to add maybe a personalized ribbon or favor tag with our names on them. |

RSVP cards arrived
So excited!!!!! I got an email from vistaprint last week that let me know I could get 20 invites for FREE!!! I had already ordered some of my invitations, so I went and ordered my rsvp card (20) for free, all I had to pay was shipping and I ordered 10 more of my invites for FREE!!!
I LOVE VISTAPRINT!!!! P.S. Thanks Unpredictable Bride for designing my rsvp cards and invitations....YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! |

Wedding Favors
I NEED HELP!!!!
For some reason, I can't seem to pick out any favors....I thought I would want to try a DIY project for this one, but I can't seem to wrap my head around it.....(SCREAMMMMMM!!!!!!) I don't know what to do! I look at reviews before I order anything...I was going to order the candy tins from oriental trading, but I read they are really small and nasty.
I don't want to give out nasty favors!!!! I want something personalized with our names on them, but whatever I find seems to cost an arm and leg! And I definitely want our guests to have something nice and at the same time inexpensive....am I asking to much or what? Any Green/July Brides have any suggestions..... P.S. I only have 134 days to go....YIKES! That's a good YIKES!!...LOL!!! |
