i totally agree! i do not like this either! i dont want to be a huge mess after hours of preparation.

Hate it!!!! When we got married 10 years ago, he did this to me at the mini reception after the wedding. I was embarrassed and shocked that it happened. Let's put it this way...it was a cold night for him. (Get it! No Nukie for about 3 days!) I was really pissed off and he remembered that at our 5th anniversary renewal reception. No-No baby and he was such a good boy...(smile) On the 10th this past May, he was a good boy again. Lesson well learned.

Oh, yea...It was buttercream and waxy...Yuck! It took a while to clean the waxiness off my facialed face.

We didn't smash cake in each other's faces, I told my husband I didn't really like it before hand so he was warned. He did surprise me by putting a little swipe of frosting on my nose, so I did the same to him. I didn't mind it because it was cute and easy to clean off, and he respected my boundaries.

It makes me think, what a waste of my expen$ive pro makeup application...

I can't stand it. Horror Story- Went to a wedding in August where the groom did this. Naturally, the brides eyes were open so she could look at her husband feeding her cake. He pushed the cake INTO her eyes... she spent a half hour in the bathroom, came back with bright red, teary eyes from the cake burning.... I felt so bad for her and wanted to kick his ass FOR her.

:( If he did it to me, I think he'd have MANY cold nights. ;)

Guys are mostly practical and hate to waste money. Tell him how much money he would be wasting on hair and makeup! Good deterrent. Other than that, tell them Rhonda's wrath of no nukie for 3 days - that oughtta scare em straight. I hope and pray Mark doesn't do this but I will email this blog cuz I have received some threats. He looked appalled when I told him what hair/makeup costs so I think I've taken care of him lol, but no harm sealing the deal ha ha

Totally agree. It's so tacky, and how much time and effort and money do you spend on getting ready to look good the big day. Not to mention how much money are you spending on the cake/cupcakes. My FH knows that if he were to ever, I would probably walk out!

Lol, this was a good question. I think if both people are fun and crazy like that go for it, but for moir, no no no, Danny will not even think to do this to me, if he did I think that whole cake would be on his head! LOL

I told FH that he couldn't do it. I dont want my dress covered in cake. He just smiled his little yay we will see grin. So I talked to his mom. She is making my dress. He just laughed because I "told his mommy on him". But I know he will be good, if he has doesnt he will be going home with his mommy, and he knows it

I totally agree, My husband did it at my first wedding and I hated it. Ive forewarned him that if he does it this time there will b a fight. His mama may need a black dress for the next weekend!!
