This is sillybride's Purple Wedding!

i am the least photogenic picture in the whole wide world. i hated getting my picture taken in grade school and even more in junior high when i had braces then for the back cover of my books, well the first book i tried a far away shot of me sitting on a rock in the middle of georgian bay and what does the publishers do, of course they zoom in and blow it up with the second i tried to not have a direct shot of my face in it but then come the rules has to be portrait style with not too much going on in the background blah blah blah....i tell you these corporate types are all the same. hmmmm apparently i have to have my picture taken on my wedding day and apparently there is going to be more then one taken ugh well my saving grace is my cousin, his beautiful wife and their photography business luckily I have seen their work and even his work of pictures with me in it that I don't want to gag over. classic photography in guelph ontario and did i tell you the amazing package that i am getting plus a discount already on the great price. sigh i am sooooo blessed remember that word i constantly bring up BUDGET lol there i go with the caps again, anyhoo here are some shots my son took today of me and my man on the beach not bad son maybe shutterbug runs in our genes. well thats it for tonight girls feel free to comment and i will do the same

oh how i hate the heat good thing i am canadian eh!! but living through the last unbearable month which has so far been one big heatwave....well let's just say my dress size will shrink because eating in the heat just does not appeal to me
however the nausea from the heat made me realize that i am not the only one that does not enjoy heavy seven course meals in the summer sun.....so what do we do for our late June budget crunching wedding where not only do i have to put together a suitable meal but also comply with a list of allergies

fiance - mushrooms
brother - peanuts
nephews - milk
sister in law to be - milk and eggs

i think i have come up with my war plan. hot hor'devres (?spelling?) and a cold buffet of salads sliced meats buns veggies with dip then cold fruit platters and eclairs for dessert and a chocolate fountain. of course there will also be wedding cake but i will blog about that later lol

so i have always had kooky dreams but man was the dream last night real, only it wasn't a dream it was a nightmare it started with my man and i driving in a car he pulls up to this restaurant/reception hall place and his best friend walks out wearing a suit so i asked him why his freind was all dressed up "because it's your wedding day"he tells me, oh by the way did i tell you i was wearing my wedding dress but everything was wrong the wrong date the wrong location and we didn't even have our licence yet but it did not matter no one was listening to me just keep pushing me further and further into the hall and forcing me to get ready for the ceremony while him and his buddys hung out near the made up alter which did not look the way i wanted it to look it was so insane and so real.....so i ask you girls why am i so stressed out that i am having nightmares i mean come on the day is 14 months away...i have all the time i need to plan and then some just because i can not find a venue, figure out centerpieces, and keep thinking about all the little details...so i am in need of some relaxation techniques and some good stress reliever tricks any thoughts.......

well actually i have never been to new york but i have always dreamed of going. we talked about the honeymoon today and if he manages to whisk me away to new york he will have completed two items on my bucket list, the first was newfoundland where we went almost 6 years ago, i am going to keep my fingers crossed new york is a little expensive from what i hear but thank goodness it is not coming out of the wedding budget i do not think i could stretch those dollars any farther
our plan is to drive to niagara falls the first night as it is only an hour and a half away from home
day two will be spent driving to new york but i plan on seeing the statue of liberty via the staten island ferry that night
the next three days we will play tourist in new york by day
day six we will leave in a round about way as i would like to spend a day in the poconos
we should be home by day 8
by then we should be throughly sick of each other and despretely missing our children (just kidding, about being sick of each other, not the children)

yes i am educated and yes i know i am only using lower-case letters but hey i gotta be unique and i gotta be me and i am kinda a nut....at least he loves me no matter what type of nut i happen to be for the day
...peanut....walnut....hazelnut....ok ok ok i will try and get seroius now well i have the dress (under 500) and we have the church but i am almost in tears trying to find a scarborough venue that is pretty and affordable and accessiable and of course a little nutty and unique like me...i don't want a banquet hall with the same boring menu as every other wedding i have been to i would be happy with picnic tables decorated with birdhouse centerpieces, gerber daisies for my bouquet and nametags that incorporate flower seeds so my guest can go home and plant some pretty flowers to remember our event by....can i do this?? has anyone?? who do you talk to, i mean who won't laugh at me?? i am trying to rent out the hillside outdoor education center but of course that hasn't happened without a few snags.... they don't allow alcohol or smoking onsite which isn't problematic for me but how will others feel about this???? espacially the smokers...........did i tell you i have a BUDGET lol opps that was uppercase...my wedding has to be done preferrably under 10 000 and yes that includes taxes because we know the goverment gets paid first anyways that is it for tonight girls please feel free to respond with ideas and i will do the same for you
