MORE HORRORS!

The past 13 months of my engagement have been a smooth ride and now that its 4 days until my wedding i feel like every thing is going wrong!

But lets start with some good news: My decorator FINALLY got back to me and bought a bunch of natural burlap that is going to look absolutely lovely on the tables. I just wish her and I had discussed this sooner since i COULD have been cutting this burlap MONTHS ago when i had a plethora of time!! But I am calling in the reinforcements tonight and 1/2 my bridesmaids are coming over to help finish all of my DIY projects! Also my mom took me honeymoon shopping and we got some nice beachy dresses for my trip in addition to getting my ring polished and cleaned for the big day!

Now for the horrors... I was actually kind of mad at FH last night. Every time we ever have to do some thing wedding related he always complains and just barely does the minimum when it comes to being involved in planning. It hasn't really mattered until now, because now everything is falling on my shoulders at the last minute and now I'm hearing excuses like "well i dont know how to help because you've been planning this whole thing and i dont know whats going on" well who's fault is that?! UHG! I went to bed crying last night because i just felt so overwhelmed and alone in this which is the OPPOSITE of what a bride and groom should be feeling 5 days before they are wed

After the horrible night I had, I woke up with high hopes and told myself that I would approach the day with a good attitude. Well I got on my computer to check the status of some peacock feather i ordered way back on JULY 8TH! They were coming from China but the seller promised that they would arrive on my doorstep no later than the 28th. I told them I would hold them to their word because i needed these for my wedding!!!! Well yesterday was the 30th and they still hadn't come so you can bet i messaged that seller and they said "Hmm there is no tracking information after they left China so they must have been lost in the mail. We'll refund your money. Have a nice wedding!" WTH?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh I was fuming mad! Its like all the last minute things are unraveling! I needed those 30 feathers for my centerpieces and now I have nothing!!!! FH is looking for feathers right now with 1-day shipping available but it just really makes me mad when people could care less about what you're going through!!!!!!!!

Please pray that I can overcome all this garbage and have a relaxing final 3 days as Miss Pollmann.

Sorry to hear about all of your troubles right now, especially since it is so close to being your big day. All of these little problems do seem to pop up when it gets close to the wedding, it did the same thing with me last week. But in the end it all worked out fine. You're going to have a wonderful day. You must believe that. It can never be 100% perfect, but it will be astonishingly great. Don't let the small things interrupt your joy.

30 isn't very many. I would call around at your nearby craft shops or if you live in a rural area, look up to see if there are any peacock breeders. I had a family friend who had peacocks growing up, and trust me they have enough that if you want to go around and pick some up, they have no issue with that! My entire room had them.

Girl Thank goodness you finally talked to the decorator!!!

Now it's someting else. I swear this wedding planning stuff is crazy! What jerks to say oh must have been lost in the mail, have a nice wedding! Are you serious?! I would also be very pissed so don't let ppl make you think you're crazy for getting overwhelmed. I'll be praying for you that no more mishaps happen the next couple of days, but still prepare yourself ;)

Thank good for great bridesmaids to come and help! I agree w/ strychix, you should call around to craft stores and enlist the other bridesmaids that can't come help to help you call around in addition to asking your FH to call. I wish he was more of a help to you, but for some reason, not all men like to be involved. Some girls are very lucky when they have the help from the get go. But for me, mine doesn't help do crap, but I always take control of everything, so this isn't a surprise for me. No matter what, I'll prob be feeling the same way a few days b/4 my day, like why isn't he helping. lol.

Aww. try not to stress too much over everything. I'm sure your bridesmaids will help, and I'd call over the decorator to help cut that burlap - lol.
It seems like your FH is helping out today with the feathers. I'm sure planning isn't really his thing, but he's there when you need him.
Like fljohnson said, don't sweat the small stuff. When it's all said and done, the only thing that matters is that you married the man you love, right. So keep that in mind no matter what else comes your way. Do what you can and let God handle the rest. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about all of your drama!!!! Glad that the decorator came through, though!!! But still, UGH!! I hope and pray everthing works out for you, girl!! It will be all worth it on your wedding day, I am sure!
