So in the post before last i told you guys I had a game plan for my wedding to-do list that has been looming over-head while i've been enjoying some wedding planning complacency. Well, I'm back.
With Pictures!
So the woman who will be baking my cake sent me a little sample of her work last weekend [that is picture #1] I think i may have mentioned the cake already but i dont think i ever got around to posting a picture of her pretty scroll work that i love so much. I think i wont have any blue on my cake though (despite that being one of my main wedding colors) I am thinking of having a dirty iced cake in white with some crisp green accents. If you dont remember, our cake topper is little rustic birds so i think these elements will look adorable and shabby chic!
Pic #2 is 84 of my wedding favors. I made 84, 4 oz. jars of jelly last week with FH great aunt and FMIL. It was a great way for me to bond with some of the women from his side of the family [setting the cookie issue aside]. We made strawberry, grape, and raspberry jam. I am going to be using the jelly favors as place cards as well so it will be one per family instead of worrying about having 1 jar per actual person.
pic #3 are my reception shoes! My ceremony shoes are TOMS wedges in grosgrain ivory but for the reception i wanted something more casual and not as high so i went and bought an additional pair of TOMS. they are lacey! also in ivory.
pic #4 is the address stamp i just bought on etsy.com that i will be using on all of my wedding mail [save the dates, invites, thank you's, etc.] i have green ink and the love birds on the stamp totally compliment our theme!
pic #4 i LOVED these shoes! I was trying to find wedges for my BMs because im sure thats the type of shoe i want them wearing. However these tan little flowered wedges are too casual, i just couldn't help taking a picture since they were so adorable.
FINALLY pic 5 & 6 are from davids bridal. I took my MoH and finally picked out a dress. My color is Marine and the girl in red is my MoH. The girl in blue i took from davidsbridal.com because that's how the final product will look.
So i actually DID get a lot accomplished! Next week i am hoping to talk to a florist, get my dress altered, do a make-up trial, and finish picking out my ceremony music. I am also starting to make progress on my invitations even though they wont need to be sent out for another 2 months [I have the free time so why not!]
