Engagement

I am engaged and am so excited. I have waited for 5 years, now I will get my happily ever after. Let the planning begin!
I know for sure we will be married in the church on our college campus where we met. We will do black, white and silver. Lime green will be the accent color. I am trying to make this an extravegent event but do it on a budget. Any ideas or tips, I would greatly appreciate!

Welcome and congratulations.  The first thing you need to do is decide what kind of wedding you want, indoor, outdoor, at the church, ceremony & reception at one place, etc.  Then start calling around to get prices.  Most reception venues will have a minimum F&B expense of around $8-$10K.  Prices really vary depending on where you live.  I'm in central Florida, and if you have a small to medium wedding (75-100 guests), ceremony at the church, reception at a local country club, and do 90% of the work yourself, including your honeymoon cost, you'll spend about $20K, give or take a few thousand.  Good luck.
