Seeing as it is the Holiday season, I wanted to share this delicious recipe that is my all time favo...
So I'm Attempting This DIY Map Thing...
I really like the idea of these... showing places where you met, had first date, hang out on Thursday nights, where you have Sunday morning coffee, where you hiked every day the first year you dated... things like that.
Note: One of these is for PHOENIX!! Yay, I have direct inspiration. We'll see how far that actually gets me. ugh, I wish I was more creative.
I love baker's twine....
240 yards for $15.00
Sounds pretty dang good to me!!
comes in apple green, lemon yellow, licorice black & aqua!

Striped Mailing Tubes: Where Does One Find These?
I really, really want to use these for mailing all the wedding stuffs....this is a picture directly taken from the website that sells all these materials.
I had the website, but when my computer got stolen..... I have looked pretty much everywhere, but am having no luck.
If anyone knows? That would be super.

I'm a Paper Chain GEEK! Love this idea whenever and wherever.
I've been trying to think of a creative way to have input from our guests at the reception.
People can write messages in a book or on a postcard. Well, that's really not our thing.
I love to sew. I really would love to whip up a bunch of these, place them on the tables unfolded (I'd likely use snaps because they look snazzy) with permanent markers, and a note that asks guests to leave us a kind message or words of wisdom. We could hook the chain up to a see-through metal knee-wall at our reception venue....
Something fun for us to remember our wedding by - besides, it could be fun to bring out for our first Christmas. (Maybe in colors of our wedding party - not too Christmas-y, but whateves..)
Just an idea at this point, but I'm kind of liking it.
We are Having Two Receptions
Yes. For Real.
Well let me explain first. All the family and people who really should be at a nice and fancy wedding are coming to our wedding & first reception. It will be calm, cool, and very homey-vintage, AWESOME! It really will be nice.
Our second reception will be super duper fun. A BLAST. All of Mike's car club friends, my work pals, and our neighbors will be in full attendance AND anyone else who wants to show up and not be a moron.
I haven't actually sat down yet to figure out what kind of reception Mike is going to be putting together, but his usual party involves at least 2 Rock-a-billy bands, lots of beer, and fun times.
That said, I feel as though I need to be wearing something ridiculously awesome. Read awesome, not expensive.
I love 40's, 50's, and ruffles so I might be making some sort of vintage-inspired retro dress WITH CRINOLINE. Can't wait. It's probably going to be either light pink or blue. Rad.
P.S. Do you suppose this dress is very hard to make?
Have I mentioned how awesome it is to have a Mom who taught you how to sew? AND who gave you her old sewing machine? Love you mom!
Rifle Design's original DIY. SWOON!! xoxo
My paper girls.
One Set of Girls. This is Sara's set :) Just an upclose of the Girls.

The wording that I tried as hard as I could by eyeballing Rifle Design's Invite.
Finished Card with bellybands (never thought I would even be interested in bellybands.....)
DIY Way of Asking The Ladies.... to be my Bridesmaids
I'm too excited to NOT post this DIY. These aren't even in the mail as of yet, but I am terrible at keeping secrets. Anyone who knows me is well aware of this unfortunate fact.
SO... Long story short, I totally have a massive professional crush on anything done by Rifle Design. Anna recently put out these super cute DIY paper dolls as a creative way to ask your bridesmaids to be in your wedding.
Here's the link:
And here's my rendition. Please excuse the iPhone pictures... I was going to borrow the dude's camera, but I forgot :( so we have semi-pixelated renditions.
Yay!! Turned out way better than I thought it would :)
Unique Entrance for Dudes
So... He wants to Skateboard in...
He told me this last night when we went to check out our venue.
I'm thinking: COOL!!! How fun and totally you!
Then I think.... hm... my brother (groomsman #2) Doesn't know how to skate. 80 days out is enough time for me to let him train, isn't it???
I'm absolutely torn between these two Rifle Design ideas. I'm sure that my brother would say that they are 'completely different' but whatever, they're not all that different.
OMG Girl Crush on her handwriting. Doesn't hurt that I LOVE, love, LOVE this color scheme right here.
Camelback Mountain in Phoenix - when we first met, we would hike this in 108 degree heat every day.
We really need to get back into hiking! It's just so dang busy!!!
cactus flowers, more of them
Lovely Palm Trees

Can't I just be Breanne? I loooooovvvvee this wedding certificate.
Everything about this from the colors to the styling to the flowers. UGH. YUM!
Custom by Design Concern
So My brother's design company is going to make my poster invitations.

Here's the inspiration. Will keep you posted!!!
Researching screen printing places in the metro area as well as cost for paper (light gray), ink (white and marigold/goldenrod), printing, etc. Yikes!!
A picture off my computer of the letterpress invitation that Brian made for us.
Found on Minted, but seller on Etsy will customize to 8x10 size. Not sure how much $$$
Found on Minted.com - willing to work with me to customize to invitation from STD and increase to larger poster size. Not sure how much $$$
So It Is Coming Down To This...
They're going to have to go out sometime soon.. Within the next 3-5 weeks. AGH!!
I HAVEN'T PICKED ANY YET!!!
Here's my issue. My brother designed a letterpress invitation for us. LOVE. IT. But: Cost-prohibitive. I mean, how cool to have your brother - graphic artist design your wedding invites.
SO we ended up turning that idea away. Now I feel like poo.
Then we were researching other options. I just don't see anything that I like that I can get. I love Rifle Design and emailed Anna Bond, but January 9th is too soon to get anything custom made.
:( I'm just not happy about the predicament (sp?) that I have placed myself in.
I would just rather have something that my brother makes.....
Maybe I can work with him - if he has time... on another project. :( sad.
Red Velvet batter getting ready to be poured into cupcake liners.
I love my kitchen!
Had to get a picture of the cutest apron that my mom just MADE me. She's so talented/creative/crafty. Just love her.
Scrapbook paper + toothpics = fun!
Hello Little Flaggies!
Another for god measure
Hello Cupcake! I *heart* you! Yummy! For My Sweetie xoxoxo For Mike :)
I Made CupCakes!
A Little More DO, A Bit Less Looking
So I made some cupcakes. I figured it was about time to stop browsing and start figuring out what will and wil not work for me.
To be honest with you, I was not sure it was going to look right. This recipe called for a WHITE cake mix, cocoa powder and 60mL of red food coloring along with the other standard of cupcake recipes. Well.... I ran out of red food coloring at 30mL... soooo I improvised with extra cocoa powder to get a 'red-velvet-ish color'. Taste good though.
Work is having a bakesale today and so I thought, 'What the heck, let's try something fun." So I did.
I had some leftovers so I made cute little flags with toothpick flag-poles. Easy Peasy. Really cute :)
Synopsis from this experience: Red Velvet might not be my thing - UNLESS I actually buy enough red food coloring (who knew you needed 60mL for one batch?!?!) and I am probably not the world's best baker.
P.S. Please excuse the iPhone pictures. I know they are not the best :(
