Seeing as it is the Holiday season, I wanted to share this delicious recipe that is my all time favo...
This is fun adn kinda vintageous.
how can a girl NOT love Betsey Johnson??
Maybe too disco-stick?
Nina Elektra - something about these white shoes calls to me...
Nina Xion. Toooootally loving this style right now. Thinking this might actually be what I end up..... if the color doesn't clash too much with my dress.
I am Going to be Needing Some Shoes & Besides, Who's Wedding Is This Anyways??
Really, I think about things... get ready to make a decision and one of the first things I think is, 'gee, what will mom/dad/various family member think'. Ugh.
Fortunately for me, I have a bunch of wonderful co-workers who remind me daily that this wedding process truly is for Mike and I. It's nice of them to remind me at every step of the way, it's what I need. :)
That being said, I am revisiting the whole shoe situation.
Do I want colorful shoes or plain white? I mean really, how often do you get to wear white shoes? This both an argument FOR and AGAINST white.
Sure it's fun to FINALLY get to wear white, but really, when am I going to be wearing those again? AND how well do shoes really dye?
I'm sure I'll be re-visiting this ... again.
Twig & Thistle - great for all those red and turquoise gals - OR July 4th Brides.
I just love this whole entire set-up.
Also Twig & Thistle. I know mustaches are kind of 'in for all the cool kids' right now, this is a fun way to go about it...

I'm Totally Miss DIY Right Now.
I am really into sewing, crafting, doing stuff on my own. Yes, call me Miss Independent.
I just love reading up on blogs' Real Weddings. Those ladies have such crafty minds, I don't think it hurts to copy the ones that I'm in love with. It's the best form of flattery, right?
What are some other super awesome DIY things that I am completely missing out on???
are two of my faves....
Any other recommendations?
I don't know how supportive this is going to be. My girls are definately in the house, I don't want them at my belly button for pictures, if you know what I'm saying.
I can already see this rolling down from below my chest to my waist. Great (haha!) an added roll.
NOT ME, but sooo my nightmare :(
Yes Please. Can I get this in an XXXS with a very tight weave and absolutely no give?
Ask a Question
UnderThings: Why Can't I Just Use Duct Tape From My Armpits to My Knees??
Ok, OK, I know. It would hurt really, really bad and would probably end up stuck to my dress which would in turn irritate me pretty badly.
Seriously though, what I'm looking for is basically something that will suck me in. I know it sounds terrible and all, but I don't care if I can't breath. I dont' want to have bulges and pudges. I want to look like I'm still young and not tubby. haha! :) Yes, I'll be working out the next 148 days (That dang reader over there haunts me and my skipped workouts).
So is the answer truly Spanx?
Please enlighten me if there is something better?
Love this look
TOTALLY having s'mores at our reception!
Reminds me of home... kinda
Love wide-open spaces pictures.
mm... handholding! So Romantic.
I heart pink.
Yay, hidden kisses!
Clever ring shot.
Look at how fun she is!!! See :)
I am a ginormous sucker for scenery shots. Always, anywhere. No excuse necessary.
I so heart black and white.
What a pretty moment.
OMG! So Mike and I!!!!!
I just love these pictures.
Also Loving Jennifer Rau From CALIFORNIA
This also another photographer that I'm particularly loving right now.
I have emailed her a few times and she is super duper nice! Yippee!!!
In LoveWith Rebekah Westover in UTAH
I don't know what it is about Utah weddings. I don't know what it is about modest clothing, particularly wedding gowns... but
I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!
And I'm from Reno. Yeah, Reno where anything goes (from gambling to prostitution to drugs, drinking, and all-night-debauchery... not that I was one to participate, but I was completely surrounded by all of this in my college days).
No, she is not my photographer . AND no, she has never even spoken to me (not even via email). Her style is just wonderful. I love it! and if you're in Utah looking for good work, I hope this inspires... gosh, I just adore her work!!!
Bicycling to a baseball game. It's rad to live in downtown Phoenix!!
Watching a friend's Social D cover band play at a tattoo & car show in Phoenix.
Sara and Chris's wedding. Yes, I am wearing clothes.... strapless dress :)
ChineseCoins - one of my friends is having twin girls. This is for one of the girls.
Hop, Skip, Jump variation, this is the other girlie quilt for the other twin.
For a boy
Not sure what to do with this one since it's just so tiny,.
For another girl
Zig-Zag, and yes, another girl baby.
Me At work... minus the outfit. I get to wear scrubs.
What I Have Been Up To
While I Was Away From WBC
I have been going to Diamondback baseball games, San Diego, Car shows, a friend's wedding, quilting, sewing, and working. How could I forget work? It's been nice having a social life... kinda :)
Still working on a place. I know, some things never change BUT I did win 50 thank-you cards from my FAVORITE vendor (Milk Maid press) and I might be on a lead to free photography... (minus the plane flight to Phoenix, a hotel, and a rental car. Seriously though, <$1000 is awesome for photography!) So excited !! :)
I am also slightly obsessed with flowers.
YES, I might have to admit to having a problem. I love flowers. Probably because it's been ridiculously hot in Arizona and pretty much nothing can survive this heat - including the humans... :)
Yep, I'm back... with a new computer!
Finally replaced my old laptop that got stolen when the house was broken into, so watch out blog-o-sphere, I've got tons of pretties on my mind and I have to share or I am going to explode!!!
Lately I have been inspired by all things DIY as well as some super fantastic Real Weddings....
STILL Looking For The Place
I will be the first to admit it. Whenever I do something I'm not supposed to be doing - I get caught. If someone is bound to get caught at any point ever for doing anything that is 0.001% incorrect --- yep, that person will be me.
SO in light of my unluckiness (sp?) AND the fact that both my Aunt and I found the realtor who sets up VRBOs here in Phoenix to be not my type of person. SO...we are still in the whole limbo phase of determining where we will get married.
I do feel as though I am being needy and particular. I just have a few (haha!) things that I would like and a few things that I need to avoid.
Please read on:
1.) No Church Necessary: My Fiance has been married before (not annulled - I totally do not even care) but we are going to have trouble getting married in a Catholic church. Fortunately for us, I do not need to be married in a church. It just really is not our 'thing'.
2.) Outdoors would be Rad: C'mon, we're in Arizona. Let's use this to our advantage!!!
3.) We love all things retro/vintage/historic: So something donning a nod to either of these three would be fantastic. Particularly the historic portion b/c we both live in 2 houses in one of the historic districts here in Phoenix. My house was built in 1927, his 1930. We love these facts! and I really am loving the idea of using a home as opposed to a resort.
4.) I do not like to feel socially akward or retarded, no one does, right? SO I do not really believe that I will feel comfortable having people wait on me hand-and-foot. I do not do well in country clubs. Inevitably I'll spill or drop something on somebody important or do something incredibly embarrassing otherwise. Let's not ruin the big day because I am a clutz.
6.) We love downtown Phoenix: It would be fun to keep everything downtown where we live. Sure Scottsdale is nice, Glendale is nice, Mesa is lovely, and Paradise Valley is splendid, but we love central Phoenix. It has all of our memories, all of our firsts, it's a wonderful place to be, and his stolen our hearts. We love it down here.
7.) Our friends can attend: With the economy the way it is right now, we do not have alot of friends who can afford to travel from Phoenix to a destination wedding. SO Vegas is out of the picture. Would be anyways b/c I should just go to Reno if I'm gettin' myself a NV wedding! Anyhoo, we want a Phoenix wedding so that our friends down here can ALL attend. Our friends are incredibly important to us.
8.) I know this sounds silly, but I want it to be safe: I have grandparents who are not very spry and I do not want them falling off a cliff in Sedona, do not want them slipping down a 30 foot staircase in Scottsdale, I don't want them to fall while walking a quarter mile to a church. I need to know that my family will be safe. Family is very important to me.
I guess this kind of seems un-do-able for right now.
I am taking a while away from wedding planning. I am not happy doing this right now SOOOOO.... I am going to focus on other things for a while. I will sew, work on my house, and work on my 1946 Plymouth Special Delux.
I'll keep you guys posted - those who read this thing anyways when I find me a place. WHO KNOWS... next time I write on here, I may just have eloped! BOOYA!!!
This is perfectly me, but what about my gals. This is SOOOO not them. They would probably hate it.
I love the idea of non-traditional. Between this and the previous yellow dresses... heaven.
FUN!!! Should I care the the girls will feel weird b/c they normally do not dress like this?
I like the idea of being non-traditional.
Oohhh.... in Yellow!
See, this look is RAD with 4+ ladies
Like I said 4+ ladies = cool
I think I just need to find more friends.
Or just go this route...
Super Duper cute!
Their Dresses, Particularly: My Wedding Doesn't Want to Get Too Big For Its Britches...
I am still going back and forth on how many bridesmaids I should have... I am thinking that if I end up with 2 ladies and if they both wear different dresses, will my wedding start to look like a bunch of hill-billies are standing around? I really like the idea of 3 gals. Seriuosly... having nightmares.
SO then I'm thinking, well gee, maybe I should have more bridesmaids. BAD idea, ultimately for my tiny, intimate, backyard wedding because then it would quickly become over-dramatic, not tiny, cramped and I might cry = Can I still win?).
I'll add some rad pictures later... on the ol' iPhone right now & just can't figure this thing out?!??
I really only need a few good maids. Any more and my wedding will become a circus(sp?) and too big for its britches. I also like the idea of being able to wear those dresses again and thus letting my lady friends select their apparel.
What are you other gals doing... when you have a small wedding party??
