DIY Wedding
I damask-ed my wedding shoes!
I did it and it turned out okay! If you look closely their are some slip-ups. But I don't care I like that they are a little "rustic" and crackled looking. I love Damask!! I used a transfer that I found at Wal-mart of all places and just rubbed it on. It was hard because of the softness and angle of the shoes and it took all but 10 minutes. Now I can finally cross this task off my list of things left to do!

What music are you playing during dinner?
We don't know what music to play during the dinner portion of our reception. We are having 1940's pop playing during cocktail and a bunch of great dance tunes for the dance part. What do people play during dinner???
UPDATE: We decided to go with acoustic guitar music during dinner! I love the acoustic guitar!! |

Ask a Question
Anyone's FH having a groom's shower?
My future sister in laws want to give their brother a Groom's Shower. The theme would be outside BBQ/garage gear(tools etc) I think it's a great idea. It always seems that all the attention goes to the bride during the whole wedding process,so I thought it was a neat that they want to "shower" their little brother! I think I heard they want to call it a "Spit Bath" instead of Shower--pretty funny!
Has anyone ever heard about these? Anyone doing it? |

Shoes
I got em...
My FH and I were at Famous Footwear and low and behold there they were!
I have been looking for cute embellshed flat sandals because my FH and I are the same height. I really don't want to be taller than him at the wedding and I did not want an enclosed shoe like a ballet flat-(feet would sweat and I am totally against nylons) Well, I put these on and stood in front of a mirror with him and it didn't look too bad-so instead of stressing about finding a pair, he bought these for me. They are sooooo comfortable too-Life Stride is the name. I'm all about comfort! I'm thinking of embellishing them myself with a cool damask transfer I found or add crystals to them but I might chicken out because I'm afraid I'll mess them up. What do you think???? |

Ask a Question
Address labels or hand-written?
So tonight we worked on our wedding invites-belly band and all! More construction than we thought but not bad.
Anyway, the question came up about computerized labels. I have always heard it is etiquette to hand write the addresses. Am I right? I mean.. I wouldn't mind doing labels because they are less time consuming etc. but I really want to our envelopes to be just as classy as the invite itself. HELP! |
