Okay ladies I am in a deep deep hole right now. I was suppose to get this raise from my job that was going to pay off the rest of my wedding stuff but today I was notified that the raise is not going to happen. Now I am $8000 short and my wedding is less than 3 months away. I have put so much money, work and tears into this. I have so much personalized stuff.
Does any one know were I can get a personal loan for $8000. My credit score is not good and as of now I don't have a co-signer. If I can get this loan I would be able to finish paying everything off and enjoy being a bride to be.
Any advice is welcome
Thanks ladies
Is there anyway you can get help from some family or friends? What about talking to the vendors...maybe you can reduce some packages that you have with different vendors and that may help costs go down.
You can have a yard sale or pawn things you no longer need or want.
I hope you are able to get through this, planning a wedding is already stressful stuff but all of this on top of it i know has to be very hard! Good luck to you hun.
If that doesn't work, ask where you can cut back entirely. Maybe half of the flowers at the ceremony... For the caterer if you're having a seated meal maybe ask what the savings would be for a salad and then an entree, no "official" appetizer course. Or cut out seafood, or ask to go buffet style. Instead of pay by consumption ask if they have a single cost per person, or maybe limit your choices to reduce your cost. Most venues will try to make everything work, you really do just need to ask. I found ours was much more flexible then I ever thought they could be.
For the DJ, ask to maybe start a little later and have an ipod play during a cocktail hour.
For a photographer and videographer cut back by an hour for each... sometimes it changes the fees, sometimes it doesn't... but if you have a 12 hr package try to switch it for a 10 or 8 hour one... the difference i photos and footage from and 8-12 hr package is miniscule and the first and last dance look virtually identical on film...
For your baker, ask to substitute in a fake tier if you can.
... I'm trying to think of more options but and a little stumped for now.... I hope this is a good starting point... What I did want to say about the photographer is, if you can afford it, not to get rid of the second photographer.... they capture moments that your main one might miss with your guests (I mean your head photographer is going to be watching you after all). If you really need to save money on them though, ask to get the CD/DVD instead of the prints. You can always get prints later (the wait is hard... but to save money it may be worth it). If not then maybe cut down on the prints you receive.
God is good, my uncle is able to loan me the rest of the money to pay off my wedding. He has no idea how much he has helped me.
I will be able to go pick up the check Monday....HOORAY. My plan is too pay off everybody so m las couple of months will be stress free and I can focus on putting things together
Once again thanks to everyone that kept us in our thoughts
