Thank-You Cards

I've been making thank-you cards. I realize this is way ahead of the game, but I want them to be finished before we start receiving gifts, which may be as soon as we send out our invitations. I've decided to make these crane cards to go along with the theme of our wedding (cranes). The trouble is, they turn out better when made with thin paper, but thin paper doesn't make a very sturdy card. Therefore, I got some scrapbooking paper to make them. The first batch I bought worked pretty nicely. I just recently found this pack of cardstock at JoAnn Fabrics on sale (50% off) but it's too thick to make the cards - it rips a bit when I fold it down hard.
So now I have all this fabulous paper that matches our colour theme, and I'm not really sure what to do with it. What's a girl to do with 34 sheets of 12"x12" cardstock?

Have you already made your programs? You could incorporate it there or by making a sign for the reception. Like something that says "please stop and sign our guest book."

I think its a good to have thank you cards done ahead of time...one less stress and then you know it will get done. That sucks about not being able to use the paper! can you use them to make envelopes?I was thinking of doing our wedding pic as a thank you card but it takes a few months to get pics back sometimes and i think its rude to make my guest wait for a thank you..torn lol
