So I'm thinking when we have some money spare, I'm going to change my hair colour again. I love it black, but with summer coming, I'd kind of like to try something new. Its been dyed various shades of black over the past several years (natural black/super dark brown, jet black, blackcherry etc.) Not to mention Chris isn't much of a fan of it being black.
So I'm thinking something different.
I liked it when it was really bright red, but that was super difficult to take care of and it faded very quickly. Not to mention, I'd have to strip my roots every 3-4 weeks and redye it all because of the fading and new growth. Chris *loved* it when it was red. Melissa & my mom both think I look like a stripper with my hair that shade of red.
I definitely don't want blonde, because if I went blonde, the only shade I'd want is platinum and that's too hard & expensive to take care of.
I don't want to grow out the black and go back to my natural colour because I hate my natural colour. It's too... mousey-ish. I've never liked it much.
so what does that leave me with? Obviously, I can't have any wierd or random colours because I'm looking for a job. If I can't think of anything else, I'll stick with black because that's what it'll go back to in a few months time anyway.
I'm also wondering about what to do for the wedding. Keep it black, or go with red? either color will go well with our colors, but black with red streaks is totally out of the question. However, how would a chocolate brown or ash brown with black, blonde & red streaks look on me? The main photo in my profile is when I dyed it a dark mahogany and it faded out.
I really like the mahogany color. Have you tried the red with dark brown or something in it to sort of tone it down a little bit. Then maybe your man would still love it, but your mom wouldn't say it looked like a strippers hair.
I think black looks really good, but if you wanted to change it a bit to a little "softer" look, I'd go with a chocolate brown...that would be super pretty. :)
