This is pinkpixi's Pink Wedding!

We had a small intimate ceremony and bar-b-que last night, it was fantastic. We had our immediate family and our really close fiends. Went to a really nice park, near the ocean, the sun was shinning. It was fantastic.

The reason we got married yesterday was because it would have been my grandparents 58 wedding anniversary. They both have passed – my gramma only passed away less than a year ago and we were really close. So we wanted to honor them. Plus my uncle was going to perform the ceremony in July but he couldn’t get officiated to perform only one marriage here in Canada so we needed someone who was legit so our marriage wouldn’t be false. We would have had to get a marriage commissioner to come witness the ceremony in July and everyone I emailed or called was already booked solid. So now my uncle can perform the big wedding ceremony. We aren’t going to tell many people because we are still having our second ceremony and reception in July we don’t want people to bee offended because we didn’t invite them.

It is very weird to call him my husband but I am so happy we are married now one less stress.

I can't wait to print them up and put them around the house, in scrapbooks and use them for the wedding. Not sure how i will encoporate them yet. But I am sure i will find a way.

OK ..HERE'S THE DEAL.

All the girls decided on the smae dress, Except one bridesmaid now is saying she NEEDS!!! MUST!!! have straps on her dress! I don't want her to have straps..then she will be out of place and possible look like she is the maid of honour (which she is not). i think the dress will look stupid with straps!

I say NO WAY JOSE!!! Should i just cave and let her have the damn straps- since i have to much stuff to be worrying abou tthen he whining she needs straps! She would have to get a seamstress to do this because they can't be ordered with straps.

Ok so i never knew my father, but i have two uncles hwo have been like stand in fathers my whole life and i wanted them bothe to be part of my ceremnoy, so one uncle decided he would walk me down the aisle and the other one would marry us. Problem is- in BC Where I live - a person cannot be ordained for one ceremony. But my uncle can marry us if we have a marriage commisioner present.

option 1

We get married with just our immediate family and wedidng party at the rehearsal dinner with the commosioner present - and then saturdya my uncle can "marry" us in front of everyone. And that way the commissioner doesn't have to be present at the "original" ceremony- noone has to kow we were married the night beofre

option 2

we have the commisioner stand up with my uncle during the ceremony.

option 3
we can get married at the court house before of after the ceremony.

i think i like option 1.

I AM HAVING MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION AT IGUANA RANCH- CHECK IT OUT ONLINE-- IT'S IN COWICHAN! BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!!

I totally love the idea of dressing my flower girl in a tutu, that way she can use the tutu for dress up afterwards. they are super cheap and easy to make. I want my flwoer gril to wear something similar to this but in pink of course.

My fiance is a sub contrator (drywaller) and employs two guys. Today his contrator (who pays him) told him he can only afford to pay him 25 cents a square foot, he previosuly was getting 40 cents- and believe me when i put it that way, it seems like not a big deal, but it makes all the world of difference 15 cents is alot in the business. So we are going to have to lay off his employees- which i feel bad for them- but if we can't afford to pay them we will not be able to feed and clothe oursleves. I don't know if things will pick up, but we have to look out for us right now. Now the wedding is only 198 days away and i still have to pay for alot of things. I am freaking out because i have been waiting for this day for so long and now it looks like we are going to have to postpone it! omg what do i do. I know soo many people are having it rough right now..but i have had my fair share of downfalls in the last 3 years. why now? sorry guys i just need to vent.

How long did you date before you got engaged?
5 ½ long years…lol

Did you get the ring you wanted?
kind of sort of. My Gramma passed away just before he proposed. I got one of her rings (which is really sentimental t me and I LOVE LOVE the ring) although my guys said he would buy me own ring soon!

Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Yes, he actually proposed the day after my birthday and like I said my Gramma passed away just before (actually 4 days before my birthday. So I didn’t expect anything.

Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
I am not a material girl by any means. My ring right now is big (that’s how my Gramma rolled..lol) but I don’t want my actual ring to be huge and gaudy! Just something that sparkles and catches people’s eyes!

Did you cry when he proposed?
YES! SO DID HE…LOL!! I AM A VERY EMOTIONAL PERSON!

Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.
VERY VERY ROMATIC!!! My guy is not romantic in that sense of the way. He had everything from rose petals, champagne and strawberries. He rented a secluded cabin with a Jacuzzi tub on the patio over looking the ocean!!!

When do you want to go for your honeymoon?
HAWAII!! Vegas! And Disney land!!

Are you buying his wedding band for him?
He doesn’t really wear jewelry, but I will buy a band form him and have it engraved. He actually wants some sort of tattoo..not sure how I feel about that yet. lol

Have you gone over your original wedding budget?
, we have stayed on budget for the most part but we may go over..OOPS!!
