Another great weekend!
Hey ladies! I hope you all had a great weekend!! Mine was good, I've started trying to get at least one wedding thing accomplished per weekend. I don't want it to completely take over my life, but don't want to slack on it either!!! So I think I have found a happy medium. :)

I had my niece Rachel Saturday night through this morning when I took her to school. So Saturday before I picked her up,I headed over the the mall where our Build a Bear store is. I had to do this before I picked her up because part of it was for her!!! She is a junior bridesmaid in the wedding, and my other nieces are my flower girls. For each girls 1st birthday, I got them a build a bear that fits their personality. So if figured what better to get them for part of their gift than a build a bear wedding dress to put on the bear Aunt Beth got them!! :) It's adoreable, came with the dress, veil, flower bouquet and garter, haha. So the flower girl gifts are COMPLETE!!! They each have a flowered bag with a flower girl bear, picture frame, bridal outfit, flower collectible erasers, little cupcake journals, monogram necklaces and candy necklaces, and the heart shaped cup with their names on them. :)

Once I picked Rach up, it was back to the mall for socks for the groomsmen!!! (she loves going there with me, I was just hush hush about being there earlier, lol) We got the socks 4/$25, the pink argyle socks!!! I was pretty excited that I didn't have to pay shipping, was very glad they had them in the store!! It will make for cute pics on the big day.

I also made a few things at home that night, I'll fill you in tomorrow, since I don't have pics with me here at work.

So overall, a very good wedding weekend. :) Have a great night ladies!!!! Happy Planning!

Signage. :)
Hey ladies!!! I hope everyones plans are coming along smoothly! Mine are coming along. :)

Over the weekend I worked on the signs for the candy buffet and the welcome table where we will have our wishing tree. I posted the banner for behind the candy buffet before, but these will go on the table.

The letters LOVE IS SWEET will go in the very front of the table. It's kind of hard to see them in the pic because I have them on my stairs, but you get the point, lol.

The second pic is the poem for our wishing tree, I'm at work right now, but will post the tags soon, maybe tomorrow! We still need to go searching for the perfect branches. I need to be taking advantage of the beautiful weather we have been having and do that!!!

The last sign is the sign for the candy buffet. I have been working on the labels for the jars tonight, so may post those soon too. I wasn't going to label them until I saw someone elses and thought it really looked nice!! And since some of our candy is black with fruity flavors, and some is actually black licorice tasting, I thought I should warn people, haha.

Happy Planning, ladies!!!

Wedding Cake
Cupcake testing!!! :)
Hey!! So as I told you all before, my sister does baking on the side, and she is doing our cupcakes for us!!! It was an easy decision to do cupcakes, not because it is the "trend" but because I have always loved them. Even when I was little, I wouldn't eat cake, but would eat a cupcake, lol. The only cake I ever eat is the chocolate fudge icing marble cake that my Mom makes every year for my birthday! HA.

So we originally wanted to go with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. My sister just gave us some more gourmet flavors to play with. We had......

*Peanut butter
*Cheesecake
*Pink Champagne
*Snickerdoodle
*Baileys
*Strawberry
*Cookies and Cream

There were more that she had listed, but these were the ones we wanted to try. :)

We are still going with strawberry, it was my FAVE. The pink champagne and peanut butter. And we may still keep the chocolate and vanilla. I only remembered to take pics about halfway through, boo!!! But the ones with chocolate icing will be black icing. I just didn't need them colored for tasting. Some will have the hot pink icing(shown) and others will have the light pink icing. (no pic)

The BEST part of these is that I wanted glitter on them. SOOOO bad. I didn't want any other decoration besides about half having our monogram cupcake pick in them. My sister tried everything. Pearl dust, what was actually glitter and several other things. Nothing brought out the glitter in them. So as a last effort, she picked up what is called "disco dust." HOORAY!!! It worked! The pics DO NOT do it justice. They are sooo beautiful and shiny!!! :)

The last couple pics are cake balls. I am trying to decide on a favor for the rehearsal lunch. I'm trying to decide between cake balls and just candy in a box. I want it to be very simple because it is just a little "extra." So we shall see. The black with pink sprinkles is smores, soooo good!!! And the pink with black sprinkles is chocolate covered strawberry. It was my fave! :)

It was so much fun! I think the 3rd pic does the best at showing the glitter, but it is still not the same as in person!!

We are having a black tiered cupcake stand with a small cake on top. It will be chocolate marble and that's what we will cut. We have a pink glittered S for the top of it. :) The cupcake wrappers are black with white polka dots and pink with white polka dots. :) About half of them will have the monogrammed picks in them.I'm really going for a simple pretty look, so I didn't want alot of decoration on the cupcakes themselves.

I hope you all like the look of them. Happy Planning!!!!!! :)

Productive weekend. :)
Hi ladies!! I hope you all are having a great start to your week. We had a pretty productive weekend. As I said before, Philly got the limo booked for that day. We FINALLY decided on a bridesmaid dress, lol. For anyone who knows that saga, we went with the one shoulder!! I think it will compliment my MOHs dress well. And hers is long and the bridesmaids are short, I really like that. :)

We are doing silk flowers for the bouquets and bouts, we picked up a TON of flowers this weekend, in all the colors in the picture. Bright pink, light pink and white. We even found some black ones!!! I had never seen them before. I got some, but I don't know if we will use them for that, and especially not mine. We shall see. My best friend is actually doing the flowers, so I will get together with her soon and see how many more we need.

Philly and I were both off Friday and we went to rent our lattice for the ceremony. We had decided that we want the nature to be the scenery at our wedding since we are getting married at the Theatre. (pic in previous post) So we wanted something simple that wouldn't take away from that. So we are going to have a 3 panel lattice with gerber daisies tied on it and garland on the top. It will be pretty and simple and I think work perfect for what we are wanting. Really the only other decoration we are doing out there are bows on the chairs.

I also was so worried about my dress being too big. So I talked to the lady at Davids, and they are going to take a look at it Feb 7. If it is big enough to go down a size, they will exchange it for free. If its not, I will just have the alterations done. One of my bridesmaids Grandmother used to work at Davids, and she is doing the alterations.

We also did a cake testing of the flavors of cupcakes we wanted. My sister does it on the side, so she is doing them for us. We tried Baileys, snickerdoodle, chocolate, peanut butter, pink champagne, cheesecake, strawberry and cookies and creme. I'll tell you what I think we decided in another post. :)

I got all the girls wine glasses packaged and put aside in their bags. Only thing I have left to get them is their jewelry, which now that they chose a dress, I can do that!! :)

I've done a few DIY things also, I'll probably post about them later. But very happy to be getting things done!!!!! :) All in all,it was a very productive weekend!!!!!

Happy Planning, girls!!! :)

Ask a Question
Calling all creative brides!!! :)
Hey!!! So I've told you all that we want to have everyone sign a Jenga block at our ceremony, so that we can see them and be reminded of our friends and family every time we play. The problem I'm coming up with is how to word it to tell them what to do????

We are going to have two baskets set up at the entrance. One will be full of blocks for them to sign, and the other will be for them to put the blocks in when they have finished signing them. They can just write their name, advice, wishes, whatever they want. I want to put a little sign in front of it telling them what to do, but I can't think of what it should say???

Any ideas? Cute sayings? Poems?? ANYTHING?? Lol.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!!!!

Bridesmaids
It's down to two dresses!!
Hi girls!! First I wanted to say thank you all for the words of encouragement for last nights dress shopping. I really needed them and they helped!!! I went into it knowing that it was going to go better than last time no matter what!!!

I chose 5 dresses again, and the out of state bridesmaid liked them all, and gave me her favorites. I got a text from one girl that was sick, and wouldn't be able to make it....ok. She was the problem last time, so my other bridesmaid told me to just be grateful, hahaha.

We narrowed it down very fast to two dresses. One of them LOVED the first one, and the other wasn't as comfortable in it, but looked great in it!! And they all looked good in the second one.

The second one with one strap goes better with my MOHs dress, so I really think that will be the one. I felt bad because the other bridesmaid looked soooo great in the other, but she has said that she may just get it for a few other weddings she is going to this summer, so it may work out after all. I am wanting to make the decision TODAY!!! How on earth did we go from not deciding on a single dress to TWO! lol. I am leaning towards the one shoulder, I do believe. What do you ladies think?? Do you have a favorite???

Also, I ordered my shoes!! I'll post them as soon as they are done!! :)

Happy Planning!!!

Fingers crossed, ladies!!
OK. Soooo, you all know the drama from the last bridesmaid dress shopping trip. Before I had had the girls give me ideas for dresses, and thats what they tried on, and couldn't agree on anything. So after some thinking, crying, and everything else, I talked to my Mom and she told me that I needed to gain back control of the situation. It wasn't my fault that it spiraled out of control, but I didn't stop it. So now I am taking it into my own hands. :)

I chose five dresses myself. The out of state bridesmaid tried them on last night. And she liked all of them but one. This is a good sign, ladies!! At first she had sent all of them to me but one. So I asked her about it and she told me it was too slinky and was a no. I told her that that was ok, it was still an option and I would just see it when the others tried it on. I was so proud of myself with that, haha. It was a nice way of saying that I am the only one that will say no this time. So she sent me the pic. There is one dress that ALL of the girls like online, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they ALL like it on!!!!!

The rest of the girls and I are going tomorrow. So we shall see what happens. The bridal shop has told me we really need to get these ordered soon, so we WILL have a dress decided tomorrow. I just hope it's one that everyone can agree on, that would make it alot easier. Sooooooo, until then, once again, wish me luck!!! LOL.

FH checking things off the list!!
Hey ladies!!! So I had delegated a few to do's to my fiance, and he has finished a few. Last night he booked our limousine for the wedding! We had talked about getting something big enough for our wedding party also, but it's pretty big, and alot of them would rather drive from the ceremony to the reception with their significant others. So he booked a 6-8 passenger for just the two of us. He made a very valid point, it is about a half hour drive from the ceremony to the reception, so it will be really nice for us to have that time alone. From what everyone says, you don't get much personal time with each other that day, so that will be really nice. A good time to relax between the two. I was so happy he got that taken care of because it was the last big thing to book. :)

So a couple questions, have you girls given your fiances any to do lists?? And are you traveling alone or with your entire wedding party?

I hope you're all having fun planning!!!!

Couple projects done this weekend. :)
Hey ladies!! I was sick over the weekend, so I sat at home most of it, but I did manage to get alot done! I had posted before about having a rehearsal lunch and what kind of food to do. We had kicked around the idea of a buffet, but decided to just minimize the menu and let them order from there. So I started and finished the menus this weekend. We used almost every kind of meat and salad and kids stuff, so I think everyone is covered!!!!

The other pic is the cups I made for the flower girls, my nieces. I figured everyone else in the wedding party was going to have their own glass that they should too!! Although they are 3 and 7, so no glass for them, ha! I just got heart shaped cups at the dollar store(perfect with Valentines Day coming up) and then put their names on them with stickers and rhinestones. I finished their little bags last night except for the build a bear outfits I need to pick up. They're soooo cute! I just hope the outfit will fit in the bag since I like it so much!!

Anyway, here are a few things I did. I hope you all like them! Have a great night!!!

Save the dates and gifts. :)
Hey girls!! I just wanted to pop in here real quick on the weekend and share a few things with you!!!! The first pic is our save the dates. We sent them out last June, before I joined you girls,so I thought I would share them now!!!! :)

The next couple pics are gifts I got for Christmas from some of my lovely bridesmaids!! I got the apron that says Mrs. Sohn and the blinged out flask from my cousin Jess. She knows me so well, I am in LOVE with the apron, and she knows how much I love to bake.

The bag and the Tshirt came from vistaprint with their lovely freebies. Can't beat that!!!! I love the tshirt the most! I've already worn it a few times, lol. Figure I'll wear it when I'm getting my nails and toes done the day before the wedding, and when we decorate for the reception. Pretty excited!!!

I will be back on tomorrow to catch up on the posts I've missed and to fill you all in on some projects I've been working on. I hope you all had a great weekend!!! Happy Planning, girls!!!! :)
