My fiance and I have been together since March,9 2008. We moved in together a few months later and I've never been happier. We both work for a University so we get to spend breaks and lunches together.. it's awesome! He had given me his grandma's ring to wear around my neck since the 2nd or 3rd week of dating. I had my dad's wedding ring my mom gave me after he passed away when I was 15. I gave him the ring, but it was too big so he rarely wore it. We talked about getting married a lot, so I knew the engagement wold be soon, but he caught me off guard when we got home from picking the rings up from the Jewelry store from getting re-sized. He recently tore the meniscus in his knee, but still got down on it to ask me to spend the rest of our lives together... it was very low-key but at the same time awesome. I can't wait!!!
