Thankfully I have been keeping busy with my Etsy shop so I haven't been on here in a long while...sorry ladies if I have not gotten back to you if you have left comments or questions. Here is my newly added item to my etsy shop. A handcrafted flower, using a soft white crêpe paper. This flower features vintage stamens that are light yellow with red tips in the center. Backing is a round piece of white felt adhered to the flower with permanent adhesive Fabri-Tac. The silver single prong alligator clip (measures 1 ¾) is securely sown on to felt. Here is the first of my floral arrangements I made this one for my brother-in-laws grandmother. She recently had surgery to prepare for dialysis and thank God she pulled through, so my sis asked if I would make her a floral arrangement and of course I said it would be my pleasure! She wanted to pay for them but absolutely refused to I know his grandmother too and she is such a sweetie! Like family! Flowers brighten up anyones day and Im glad I could do just that! |

:::::Supplies::::: -22 gauge wire: cut to your desired length (3-5 inches) -dark stamens: 20 pieces -floral tape: either white or green, which ever youd like to use is fine -tacky glue -1 black fuzzy pom poms -crepe paper: any color (doubled sided works best for this type of flower, see older post for directions) :::::Directions::::: -Cut 5 small anemone petals and 5 large anemone petals using the templates. -Shape petals by stretching them out gently. -Fold the stamens in half, using a 1 ½ piece of floral tape place round the stamens. -Wrap the floral tape around the wire until nice and tight. -Starting with the smaller petals, place a small amount of tacky glue at the base of the petal and adhere to the wire, gently twisting the base of the petal. -Continue with the rest of the small petals and let them set for a few minutes. (3-5mins) -Repeat the same process with the large petals and let them set once again. -Once the base of the flower is dry, wrap a 4 piece of floral tape starting at the base working your way down until tight. -Lastly place a fair amount of glue in the center of the flower and stamens and place the pom pom in the center, push down gently to secure. -Before the glue is set, evenly spread the stamens around the pom-pom and voila you have an anemone! I recently picked up the 15th anniversary edition of InStyle magazine and came across their article Does It Really Work? (on page 305) in which they test products themselves and let the readers know how they did. One of the items they tested was Latisse, although its a bit pricy could it really be worth trying? InStyle testers wrote Love it! By Week 3, our lashes were so long, they almost touched our brows. Everyone asked if we were wearing falsies. So I am curious about trying it out .no more falsies, no extensions which Ive tried before and were very uncomfortable, itchy and quite expensive. Actually it cost more than this Latisse product .. The question is .would any of you ladies try this stuff? They have more info on their website Latisse.com. If I could afford to buy this product I will definitely give it a chance and post a blog about this too! |

 Crepe Paper Folds glue spray     |
Cut two pieces of evenly-sized crepe paper, making sure that the grain of the paper runs in the same direction on both pieces. Smaller pieces work best, especially if you are a beginner. A standard-size piece of paper (8½" x 11") is about the largest size that's easy to spray glue together without the crepe paper wrinkling, but you can always use larger pieces to suit any craft project. An Important Tip: two thin-to-medium coats of spray glue are much better than one thick coat! Spray each piece of crepe paper twice, but let the crepe paper pieces "rest" about 20 seconds in between each sprayed coat. Immediately after spraying both sheets, lay one sheet over the other, pressing down with your palm to smooth the crepe paper and make sure both layers are tightly bonded together. With this thicker crepe paper the petals seem to hold their much shape better and its less expensive than if you bought double-sided crepe paper. Just wanted to share this information I stumbled upon on my search for thick crepe paper. Enjoy! ^_^ |

Ladies please I need your opinions....what do you think? Close enough to the real thing. I am open for any suggestions on making it better. I used home made duplex crepe paper out of a canary yellow crepe and a white crepe paper, sprayed to together with glue spray. It's a lot cheaper than buying. ^_^ |

Just thought I 'd share some pics of the crepe paper flowers I recently created. They do take a while to make so my Etsy shop is quite up and running...I'm just trying and experimenting with new flowers. I've been collecting flower faves from all the ladies here...so I know which ones are in. :::::My flowers have my own personal twist on them....so they don't look exactly like the real ones::::: Orange: Poppies Dark Pink: roses Pink: Lilies Fucshia: Peonies Purple: Violets In the last pics I just mixed them up..... One of the ones I am still working on are the anemones....they are very beautiful flowers and I will post pics of them soon. Please let me know if there is a particular flower you would like me to try to make...I will do my best. As Always thank you sooooo much ladies for your continuing support and AWSOME comments! ^_^ |

I actually purchased the alli starter kit about a couple of weeks ago...read through all the little bookletts and so far everything sounds like a fairly good program. Then I remembered hearing on the news that people were having bad reactions/ side affects that were some what alarming...so I have been putting it off until I see my doctor. So I was just wondering if any of you ladies out there have ever tried this product? If so...did it help? Side affects....bad? I want to loose a couple of pounds...it's really wierd because I have seemed to gain more weight now after the wedding is done. Has this happened to other married ladies here? I'd really love to hear your stories.... Thanks ladies! ^_^ |

I wanted to share this beautiful poem that my AWSOME mom wrote in Spanish for our loved ones who passed. We had it displayed on a memorial table at our wedding reception. I came across this site from one of my tweeps on twitter and just thought I'd share it with you ladies. It's a really great website with pictures and awsome instructions on how to create the theme. The cool thing about this website is that it caters to other special occasions too. And they have yummy drink and food recipes too! Here is just one of them....trust me you won't be disappointed with this site. ^_^ :::::::::: PUMPKIN MARTINI ::::::::::  ::::Ingredients:::: 1/2 oz Sylk Cream Liqueur 2 oz vanilla vodka 1/2 oz pumpkin liqueur or pumpkin spice syrup 1 tsp whipped cream cinnamon stick for garnish ::::Directions:::: Pour the Sylk Liqueur and vodka into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Add the pumpkin liqueur or syrup. Shake again. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with a teaspoon of whipped cream. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. HOSTESSWITHTHEMOSTESS.COM |

Maybe other wedding related items on Etsy. I enjoyed and loved creating all my wedding items but now that its over, I'm sooooo bored so I figured that I would use my time and imagination to create more wonderful wedding stuff! Some of the things that I will definitely be working on will be crepe paper flowers, bouquets, boutinierres, corsages and maybe different types of birdcage veils, pillows...pretty much anything that I can create I will sell on Etsy. I absolutely thought that this was a wonderful poem for wedding readings...I first heard this poem being read by Maggie (played by Cameron Diaz) to her sis Rose (played by Toni Colette) during Rose's wedding ceremony in the movie "In Her Shoes" which was a good movie about sisters and their bonds.... so I thought I'd share the poem with you fabulous ladies! I am soooo happy to have gained a wonderful MIL, FIL and loving aunts and uncles. They are all so much fun to be around and are always so helpful with every thing! They are the type of people that definitely have your back. I am truly grateful to have them in my life....so I just wanted to make sure their cards were extra special. I hope they love them! ^_^ I used a 2 5x5 card stock cards and printed directly on them and I found these beautifully romantic 3D stickers and voila! We are sending them out tomorrow! |

First off I just wanted to sincerely thank all the AWSOME ladies of WBC for all their LOVE & SUPPORT, kinds words and wedding wishes!!!!!!! I'll definitely be around here n there offerig the same to all the brides 2 be!!!!!! Everything went fabulously awsome and I will post pics ASAP. My MIL took lots of good pics with her camera and as well as some of my other closest friends and family, so as soon as they emailem to me I will post! Our professional pics aren't going to be available until wednesday! It was a wonderful wedding weekend....I can't wait to get the pics posted. Where has the time gone?!?!?! I'm starting to feel a bit nervous...but excited. So we've finished everything up in time for the wedding. We are leaving for the hotel/venue Friday in the morning...so this will probably be my last post...for a while that is. I'll miss you all...wonderfully AWSOME ladies of WBC! ^_^ P.S. OMG I am sooooo happy with the way my hair trial went today. I went to Epic Salon in Reno with my sis...she's went there before and suggested that I go with Stephanie to get my hair done for the wedding. Boy am I ever glad that I listened to my sis! It came out absolutely fabulous! She even put my birdcage veil on and omg LOVE LOVE LOVE how the look came together! She was so understanding of the look that I wanted and she definitely made it work! So she'll be doing my hair for the wedding, as well as my sis, mom, FMIL, FSIL. I know they won't be disappointed! ^_^ YAY! All girls in the salon were saying how beautiful it looked. YAY!!!!! I just finished making my bouquet out of my crepe paper flowers. I used a mixture of tulips and peonies as well as glittered sprayed little white flowers to which I added a rhinestone to. The little white flowers I purchased from Michaels. I also added pearl sprays and some of my ivory ostrich feathers on top and on the bottom as well. I wrapped the stems up with black satin ribbon, made a bow and of course a round rhinestone buckle! Yay! I love it came out. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be big enough but it worked out. Yes...I almost forgot to mention that I used some of the ivory french netting that I had left over from my birdcage veil, around the bottom. |

I only paid $70 for the dress at Marshalls...it was a lucky find! My dress will be in black though to go with my cute black sling backs! I bought the shoes at Kohls for $30.00! Yay, I love bargins. I looked up the dress on macys.com and it was like$130. Once less thing I have o worry about! ^_^ The dress is so comfy and fits fabulously! |
