lets talk babies, When do u plan on having kids?

I am going to try to wait a year if I can get away with it. FH and I have been together a little over 6 years now and he wanted kids like..yesterday. I will be 30 this year and I hope to have one by 32. He is only bugging because all of his friends have kids and people are constantly asking him, "What are you guys waiting for?". I want to save a few dollars after the wedding then maybe in 6 months-1 year attempt to become a Preggo.

yes thats exactly like us ha ha but i think we will wait 1-2years cuz i wanna save some money before baby comes :) and have a house thats ares when we bring baby home :) goodluck i hope it turns out like u two planned :)

we are getting married in sept but not going on our honeymoon until march so I plan on going off the pill in march lol

I have wanted kids for almost 4 years now, my maternal clock is going cookoo on me! FH wants to wait up to a year... so with-out trying for kids were going to let nature plan this one out for us... I plan on going off the pill after the honeymoon in september and if it happens it happens :)

I wouldn't mind having kids right away, but we're going to be saving for our house.....so the FH and I think 6 months to a year should be good. However, knowing my FH it might be sooner than that lol. We will both be 26 once we get married, and we want 2 kids (if we can get a boy and a girl...God's willing :-)

hey, i am getting married in july and we already have an 11 month old boy, he is the best thing we ever did! love him sooo much, we are trying for child number 2 =] i have been off the pill since jan so hopefully it will happen im hoping it wont happen till around august tho hehe, oh and we will both be 21 in sept/oct... we would both love a little girl =] xxx

glamdiva, yup me too, i wouldnt mind kids right away either, but i really wanna bring them home to our home, the house they will grow up in Ya know! so im waiting too, hopefully we both get a house sooner than later so we can get busy lol :) i want a boy and girl as well, but we will see what God has in store for us :)  goodluck girl

bethanierox,  ill cross my fingers that baby number two will be on its way in august for you lo and heres hoping for your baby girl too :) goodluck hope it happens then u will have ur boy and girl :) is that all u want is two or do u guys want more? how exciting :)

We already have a son who will be 8 in May. YES 8! I had him when I was 15 years old and although I wish I could change the circumstances I'm so glad I was blessed with him, I really think he kept me on the right track and gave me something to live for. I knew the minute I found out I was pregnant I didn't want to be a typical teen mom.. I wanted to finish high school and go to college. So with the help of my amazing mother, both my FH and I finished High school and he went on to start his own very successful business, I am currently trying to finish up getting my B.A in Sports Journalism.. anyways enough with my blabbing. I decided before we had more kids I wanted to be ready for it and not be stressed out and actually have time to enjoy the little things like baby shopping and getting the nursery ready. It's a shame our first born will be so far apart in age from the new baby but I know that our son will be so excited whenever we choose to have the next one. I only want 1 more, kids are so expensive! My brother has 4 kids and struggles every day even though both him and his wife make good money. We know we want to be young parents so I hope to have my 2nd baby before 25, and he will be 27.

and I do agree about the house we are currently building and I want to move into a home where my kids will grow up.

We already have a 4 year old daughter and working on baby #2 now.

< enter your comment ... >wow laurie, good for you!!! that is so great! theres a reason for everything and u were blessed at 15 for a reason, congrats on both ur success, i know it was hard, it was hard for me and i had no kids lol hopefully you will get the second baby by 25 yrs old :) i would have loved to been a lil younger but i really wanted to start my career first and unfortunaty it took me longer than i expected lol...i hear they are expensive thats why hibby only wants two lol :) good luck

We're talking about waiting to start trying for a year after the wedding. That way we can be settled into our house that we are having built, save up some money and also enjoy some time as newlyweds. We are planning on taking an anniversary trip to Hawaii on our one year and what better time than that to start trying to make babies, lol

My FH and I are getting married in October and don't plan to go on our honeymoon until March of 2012 so we were going to wait til then. But my FH has a 6 year old son who will be 7 in September! I don't want him to be too much older than our new one! So we plan on getting off the pill in September! We are not going to try though...we will just let things happen naturally! And we will probably have 2 togther! :)

Me and FH want to get started on the honeymoon ; ) We already have a house. The only drawback is that we would love to travel...just the two of us. But, we figured that is what grandparents are for. Lol.

We hope to have a 'honeymoon' baby! ;)

I am in a big one my FH is 35 and I am 25,
We have never had a serious talk about them but I know he thinks we will have them immediately after wedding infact I think he is going for the honeymoon night......Poor Baby, me on the other hand would llike to wait for about 3-5years of just us and accumulation of serious wealth cause I would like to take time off when I have them.....Gosh I try not to think about it cause it reminds me of how selfish I am because my FH is not getting any younger....es..nor am I!

I plan on having our second child in June lol....

@ammyrsa, oh wow the age difference does make it a lil tough..but i completely understand wanting to wait, i wanna stay home for a few years to raise my kids too, maybe just work part time, but im the one who makes more money since im a specialty Registered Nurse..well just know when it happens it happens and u will be a great parents no matter when it happens :)

we were going start right after the wedding....but God had other plans...with 3 weeks until the wedding, I am 9 weeks pregnant! :)

Me and FH plan on having kids after we get married next July. He already has 3 kids and we're by the time we're married we'll booth be in our early 30's. So right away for us.

We have talked about kids and it's like my fh is just leaving it up ti when I decide I'm really. I think he wld be happy if I feel pregnant. There is a big age gap with us I am 24 and he is 38. But he says he is in no rush. I just feel bad as I don't want him to be too old. He has a 16 year olefin who lives in another state with his mum.

I think maybe late 2012 or 2013 as I want to go to Europe first.  Nursekc909 I under stand where yr coming from re wanting the career and house first. Me to. But I think it's never really the right time it just happens when it's meant to!

I am almost 26 and will be turning 27 when we get married. I always thought I would be a young mom....then I went to college and then graduate school.  I want to have kids right away, but I think we are going to wait a year  before we start trying. We want to enjoy some alone time before having a baby and I want to travel...but, who has time to travel when you work all the time!
So we will see, but we wil probably wait about a year :)

NO MORE PLEASE! LOL. I've already had my kids, had them prior and I'm 27 already! LOL.

This is totally up to you and your FH. :) And maybe you never know you might get a surprise! ;)
