Honeymoon
We may not go!! :^(
I was just on a 5 hour long interview yesterday (yes Saturday) with Social Security for a position. The interview panel along with the "big boss" told me I did a great job, but they have interviews scheduled Monday and Tuesday and couldn't make any decisions until then. If they do, I will know by Friday if I got the new job. The bad thing about getting this Federal job, is that they are wanting the six positions that are open to start on April 12.....my wedding is May 30, which means not vacation time. And the probation is two years!! :( This means I am afraid if I get the job, to even ask for any time off especially that soon after starting. So, no honeymoon possibly for us. Any ideas on something small me and the FH can do just in case. We are getting married the Sunday before Memorial Day, I was thinking do something like the Wine Country for the weekend afterwards and go to Maui on our 1st Anniversary. What you think???

I'm nervous!!! It's on its way!!
OK, so many of you remember me posting in February about a second dress that I thought was the prettiest dress ever and was the ONE!! It's a replica of Vera Wang and it has been finished, I received the email yesterday telling me it was done and on its way. I just tracked the dress and it is on the delivery
UPDATE: I did get my dress on that day and it looks AWESOME!!! I am trying to find my camera so I can take photos of the dress and I'll also take some with me in it when one of my BMs come by the house. |

EXTRA RSVP ENCLOSURE
So I'm waiting on my invites and all, and my mother suggested and I agree to add an extra enclosure to everyone about how important it is for them to RSVP. Now my RSVP card reads that a certain amount of seats are saved in their honor but the extra enclosure my mother was thinking about having it say in a nice way about how important it is for the guest to RSVP because no RSVP, no reception. The only reason I am agreeing to this is because if some people show up who was not counted my venue charges 1 1/2 x's the rate if the head count goes over 10%and already at about $60 per person that would mean an extra $90 each and another 20% service charge.
Any suggestions on how to word that extra RSVP enclosure? |

How do you handle negativity from family?
OK so, I was soooo excited today on facebook so I posted how my flowergirl's dress came in and how cute (naming my flowergirl) would look in it. Well, one cousin who has a little girl asks who the little girl is (she was 86'd as one of the BMs)....I replied who she was, and then another cousin r(who was 86'd as one of the BMs also) esponds of how I should have asked the three little girls in our family. My FH told me not to respond...so I logged off. Throughout this wedding annoucement and planning, my family has been one negative ball after another. Do any of you deal with anything similar? How do you deal with people who seem to think the wedding is supposed to be to their liking and not yours?

Its all about the shoes!! Or is it??
Do any of you feel that your shoes besides your dress is the most important aspect of the wedding??? I'm having a hard time figuring my whole thing out. I need help on picking a shoe that is right for my dress (heehee) and veil. Well, here is my added dilemma, I'm the same height as the FH, and any heel will make me taller than him!
What about you? How do you feel about your wedding shoes? Is there anyone who will be taller than their FH in their wedding shoes? |

To Candy Buffet or to NOT Candy Buffet?!!
So, I'm trying to think of a second favor just because I feel for whatever reason I should have two. So, I was thinking a candy buffet that incorporates all my colors....teal, yellow, white and black. Are you ladies doing candy buffets or is it too late in 2010 to do it?

Are you having your BMs dye??
I am still debating this issue, and its a good thing all of my girls have been down right lazy and haven't got their shoes yet because, I'm still torn of whether I should have them dye their shoes. So, my question is....are you having your BMs dye their shoes to match their dresses.
This is my BM's dress envision the dress with a canary yellow sash and the second is my MOH dress (no sash). |
