BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - A Connecticut family has been saved from a house fire by a new bride who rushed inside through thick smoke while wearing her wedding gown.


Officials say Georgette Clemons had just left her wedding reception Sunday evening when she spotted smoke coming from a Bridgeport home.


Clemons got out of the car she was riding in and ran into the home. She says a woman was yelling about her animals and didn't want to leave, so she had to pull her out.


As firefighters arrived and battled the blaze after members of the Eitelberg family were rescued, Clemons was nearby folding her blackened wedding dress.


Clemons says she messed up her shoes, but says that's no big deal because everyone is safe.



Wow - I really don't think I would have the balls. Wouldn't that be an awesome "trash the dress" shot? :)

Anyone who has done invites at home I need some help please!

I can't get my invites to print to the edge of the page. My Printer won't let me select borderless as an option for a custom paper size.

Wish me luck ladies! I have been training fairly consistently (with a slight lapse when the weather was really cold this December/ January). I ran a half about 4 years ago with no training - painful! I had to walk most of it and I felt like I would die at the end!
This time around I feel ready but I am definitely nervous!

Hi ladies - I need your help! I am driving myself crazy with my invites, largely because I have an idea in my head of the graphic that I want, but no design talent, and no luck finding anything close on google.

I saw an invite with a pink background and a white line drawing that looked kind of like a rose or ranunculus - can't remember where!

I have scoured weddingclipart.com, and various google searches for flowers etc.

Help please!

Wow. How on earth is it coming up so fast? I want the day to finally get here, but somehow reaching this mark in the countdown has me anxious for some of the stuff that I have to do. The most pressing one right now is getting out invites - I ordered them, but need to finish the print design and get them out asap!!! Once that is done I think I will feel a lot better.

My skin is driving me crazy. I am 26 frickin years old - shouldn't I be done with the bloody breakouts already??????!!!!!

Has anyone tried Zeno? Online reviews look good, but I am sick of spending money on crap that doesn't work.

Our moms have been asking for a while about getting a registry going, we have been to look a few times without seeing anything that seems like "us". Yesterday we found our perfect set - Vera Wang for Wedgewood, Naturals. We are getting three different colors (everything but the fig) because they look cool layered up. We are getting some funky glass bowls and plates, which make it look a little fancier. We also found silverware that we really like, but I can't for the life of me remember who makes it (3 letter monogram with an M in it..)
Anyways I am happy to have found tableware that we both really like, and now we can build on it.


Our wedding rings were also ready yesterday so we went and visited them (we are having the store keep them in their safe until closer to the day). Beautiful - we are so happy!
