Money, money, money

With very little time left before our wedding date and so many bills (wedding and non-wedding related) left to pay I'm starting to freak out about money!

Somehow, even when we are knocked down we still make it. Whether it's with gas in the car or food on the table. I don't know how, but we always seem to get by. We've been very lucky that it's been that way.

But we have about $2,000 left to pay off to our vendors and I'm starting to scramble as to how we're going to do it!

I'm starting to seriously think about pawning my first engagement ring (he has bought me two).. maybe even both of them! :( I'm not really a ring kind of girl and because of my work I can't wear my ring there (I work at a restaurant.. around food and cleaning supplies and my hands are ALWAYS wet or in food).

Am I going crazy?!

Paying vendors is definitely nerve working. Do what you have to do but don't deprive yourself too much. We found ways to count corners with the vendors at the last minute to save on costs. Think of some ideas like that before you pawn your rings. Wishing you the best!

well if you have a ring you don't wear, and it doesn't hold any special sentimental value that the second holds, I don't see a problem with pawning it.
But your second one? That's a symbol of his love for you, I would sooner take out a small loan than do that.

I know it sucks to have to count on gift money, but in my experience, some people (or most people, depending on your crowd) will bring an envelope with money in it.  If you think this is possible, can you pay now with credit and pay off the credit cards with the wedding money?  Or, try to do like honeybee said and cut some costs - take one tier off the cake, reduce a couple of flower arrangements, do your own makeup, hire a music trio instead of a quartet, downgrade on linens, etc.  I also agree with kristah - I can't tell you what to do about your ring, but I know my husband would be devastated if I pawned my ring.  Is there any chance of either of you picking up a bit of extra work, or finding a short-term part time job?  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - Good luck!

since you do wait tables start offering to work extra weekend hours, that could add 100 bucks so extra per weekend. life isnt easy, but like you said you guys always make it. i say since there isnt much time left put any on credit cards, then immeadiatly pay the cards with any monetary gifts. I owe 15K on my wedding and its less than 3 months away. always remember it could be worse. at least your able to have a wedding celebration some couples arent even afforded this. good luck!

Bryanswife17, I work in a restaurant, but I don't wait tables, but thanks for the suggestion anyway.
