So I've come across a few tutorials for making my own flowers and this is by far my favorite one! My mom, sister and I got together for a 'test run' and made a dozen multi-coloured blooms. While these are NOT my wedding colours.. they do look beautiful on my dining room table.
Just recently I was able to find some fabulous white, ivory, neutral and 'linen-looking' napkins for a more elegant feel. I plan on using these as my centrepieces as well as my bouquet, boutonnieres and decor.
I'm going to make a few dozen every few weeks (girls' night in with a bottle of wine and some DIY crafts) - and by the time the wedding rolls around next summer, I'll have tonnes to play with.
I also thought about the fact that my family & friends can take these on the plane with them... so this is a good alternative and guests can even take as favours!
