We've booked it! - the Galt Museum

After initial discussions of having our wedding in beautiful Vancouver, BC to be closer and more convenient for some friends and family, we've decided to have our wedding in Sunny Southern Alberta. There are a few reasons, but the main one is cost.

After researching our venue and catering options in Vancouver, I came to the conclusion that, in order to have the wedding we want, we would either need to sell our house or a kidney to pay for everything. Even the venue that my soon-to-be sister-in-law had her wedding at 2 years ago - the Heritage Hall in Fort Langley, raised their prices more than double what she paid. That was a hard pill to swallow... but the reality of wedding planning set in.

None the less, we found an AMAZING venue at a fraction of the cost here in Lethbridge, AB. There is also great accommodation 1 minute walk away... which will be super convenient for our out-of-town guests. The Lethbridge Lodge includes indoor lounge, pool and great breakfast.

The Galt Museum and Archives (see photo) is truly a breathtaking place - and we've arranged to have the museum open for our guests after hours during the reception... which will serve as added (educational) fun!

We're very appreciative of the staff at the Galt Museum for being so great and can't wait to have our big day here!
