So the other day my fiance walked in as I was watching TV (unrelated confession: lately my TV has been locked on bridal shows) and asked if he could help with anything with the wedding
I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!
YES he offered and NO it wasn't a sneaky ploy so he can get the big TV to play Xbox-- he genuinely wanted to help!
So after I shook myself out of shock and picked myself off the floor and checked for the apocalypse we started looking at color schemes.
I think he got a little in over his head as color choices started dwindling down. None the less, I'm pretty sure poor fiance won't be offering his helpful services willingly again.
I did mention I was dramatic right? I hate everything I slightly dislike and the adjectives get more colorful from there. :D
I know I talk too much so here are my questions?
I would love some advice from people with a tad more experience or who can relate.
Our wedding is in August which is apparently a Summer/Fall type season in Canada. We've narrowed it down to 3 color schemes that we think is unique. We're young (not too young) and we're fun and I'm artsy and quirky and he's just goofy and fun so I'd love a scheme that's going to reflect our youthful nature but still have that autumn feel, is still elegant and innovative. If that makes any sense.
As we pull out the palettes, however, I'm concerned that we're getting too in depth with the colors. I normally see people stick to a two color scheme- but these are 3 and four colors at a time.
If I get more in specifics with the colors and add hues and shades like "champagne" , and "cerulean"is it harder to match that exact shade? Should I just stick to the basic two color scheme and go from there? Or is it better that I be specific after all I am planning my whole wedding and I have enough time to really search for colors? Do I limit myself to a box when I pick a palette this specific? I'd love some advice also your thoughts on the three color schemes that I've picked! Any response would be lovely.

Thank You,

Second: My wedding planner said its CRUCIAL to have more than 2 colors! It makes the room flow more, if you only have 2, its more broken up. Plus- a good work of art has many colors, that all flow together!
The only issue I have with the color schemes you posted, is that it seems like you went to a paint store and chose specific colors (and names) for the exact shade you like. I've already began looking at linens and bridesmaid dresses, and they don't carry a "Latte". Not even Lazaro or Vera Wang carry a "Latte." So stick to broader colors and more general names like "Tan". I know Tan and Latte aren't the same, but you're not going to find that exact color.
And good luck with Cerulean!
Gorgeous color combos though! I love the Teal chocolate latte ivory (I'd take the copper out, just for personal preference because there are already 3 other neutrals and you don't want to bore the guests.)
My cousin did silver, gold, tan and black with a pop of purple and it was a mess, all because it looked like a hundred different base colors with a pop of purple.
Try to pick like 3 colors that are alike, and one POP!
I love the idea of Chocolate, Latte, ivory and then random pops of birght teal!
Its fun, its youthful, but its not too much,
Good luck!!
So my advice would be to start looking at bridesmaid sites and look at their bridesmaid dress colours...that way you wont run into a colour from a picture on google that only exsists in that one picture (like i did...)
Then once your have picked your colour for your bridesmaids dress start building your other colours around that!!
good luck! :)
@Micayla Yea well of course I won't be going through and saying latte (although that is a set of brown hues rather than just one color) the colors were actually picked out and planned by a professional wedding color planner, but I do agree calling it cerulean rather than blue is overboard (unless you're talking to someone who is finding dresses you'd be surprised they were like that's not latte it's creamy mocha-seriously!? ) & thank you so much for the feed back as I suspected it will be relatively hard unless I'm going around with that exact shade card place to place to get matches :)
@BrownCurls Yeaa it's so hard but I love the teal too it's my fav color :)
