It is 3:09am here (Connecticut).
I can't sleep because I cant stop thinking about color combinations.
(man i have NO life..)
I never thought I'd be like this. I always made fun of my friends who were pulling out their hair during their wedding planning. I was always like "haha! Its so easy. What is your problem?!"
But they have the last laugh now, because I can't even sleep. And its all because my puny brain cant pick between purple and turquiose. (turqoiuse? turqiouse? however you spell it.)

Now I posted a bunch of color ideas..aand I'm hoping you girls can help me!
Here are some facts that will help in choosing:

My wedding theme is Vintage/Old Hollywood Glam. Like fake diamonds, crystals, lace, perls, damask, movie reels, etc. Our tables are even going to be named after people like Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, etc...

My original colors were black&white, silver with dark purple (chambord/eggplant) accents. I was going to have my bridesmaid dresses purple with all different shades of purple in the flowers. gorgeouss! (see pics)

Since its an evening wedding, everyone thought purple and b&w was going to be elegantt.

But then i was looking through wedding invitation designs on weddingpaperdiva.com. Baaad idea. Because I saw this damask and turquoise(spelling?) invitation, that I went ga ga over! (Inc in photos on the left!!)

I even showed my FH and he was like oo thats niiice. (not that I care too much, because his fashion sense is wack. So I dont take it too much to heart, LOL!)

Also, even though it is an evening wedding, its a spring wedding too! so the turq would look fab as fcuk..right? I mean its a bigger POP! with the black. but the purple flowers are just sooo pretty to me. And since peacock is huge now, I dont want to blend in with the blue.

HELP!!! IDEAS? OPINION?

Ok love, from one bride to another, lemme help ya. U have an awesome idea all & all. BUT you cannot mix prints, I won't allow it hehehe jk. (I read this and ur side bio) But with the color scheme turquoise and purple, and you liking feathers, the peacock theme would be perfect for u! Ur gettin the evening with the darker shade and spring with the lighter shade. As long as u dnt try to fit zebra or damask in there, you'll be fine lol...

Another pallet to consider is zebra with red. Or red, and b & w damask. I think the peacock is best though =)

If your going for the Hollywood then I would stick with the purple silver black combo, if you want more of a spring fell then the turquoise purple combo is perfect with the peacock theme.

Please take a peak at Enchantedbrides blog. She just did a wedding simular to these colors. You can really visualize better after that. It was beautiful!

Royallyurs612: Well I didnt want ot mix the purple and turquoise. (no offence to whoever is doing that theme!!) I dont really like the two together, they just dont seem to go together to me. I really want either purple and black or turquoise and black (with a little silver for either also), Dont worry! I wasn't going to mix the zebra and damask, lol!! it was going to be either or.Thanks for the advice!

Well it was just a suggestion...good luck with whatever u choose. U have a long time to decide, alot can happen between now & then ;-)
