Guest List
No kids allowed!!!

So me and Fh were discussing cost and the guest list (as you all know the issues with that!) and we came to the conclusion that kids at the wedding may not be such a good idea. Yes I will still have a ring bearer and flower girl (who will be almost 7 by the time) but we have about 5-7 people we want there (2 of my bridesmaids incl.) who have small children who we be the ages of 3yrs and younger by the time of the wedding. Now I really don't want to be in the middle of reading my vows and someone has to miss the moment because they have a screaming kid on their lap. Besides I went to a wedding with a friend who brought along her 7month daughter at the time and she had ABSOLUTELY NO FUN! I won't allow that at my wedding! Everyone is to be having fun dancing and having a good adult time! Not don't get me wrong I LOVE KIDS, I actually want 3 myself but I just don't think weddings are the place for small children. I mean would u want to be stuck in one spot being told to be quiet when all you want to do is exploer, run around and play????

I agree, and am also having an "Adults Only" reception. My mom has warned me that some of my relatives may have an issue with this, but I just would prefer to have fun with all my friends and relatives without having to worry about keeping the children entertained. Also, it saves us alot of money because that will be a few less tables to decorate, less meals to pay for, etc.

i kind of wish i could do this but my flowergirl and ringbearer are little (the FG is my own). plus, everyone usually responsible for babysitting would all be at the wedding. So that means those adults wouldn't be able to come at all. Just not worth it to me.

i have a 7 month old daughter, who will be just over a year at the time of the wedding, and she will be the only child at the wedding. (although, we have disscussed having a rind bearer.) and all the guests weve talked to with kids said they wouldnt bring them anyways.
they think weddings are adult events! i love that :) so, it was easy for us to say "no kids".
i hope this isnt a huge issue for you and fh-because i know sometimes it can be. in-laws start to weight in as do guests. stand your ground!

Both my FH and I decided to have an adult only ceremony and reception.  I will have my 6 y/o grand daughter as a jr. bridesmaid.
My sister who was in the wedding decided to drop out because she could not bring her son. who is 5 and bad as hell. She said it was not fair cause "Naja was gonna be there"
I was hurt but I had to say goodbye to her.  Hell she cannot even control her child and he was not coming to my wedding to be out of control
Good Luck
