So me and Fh were discussing cost and the guest list (as you all know the issues with that!) and we came to the conclusion that kids at the wedding may not be such a good idea. Yes I will still have a ring bearer and flower girl (who will be almost 7 by the time) but we have about 5-7 people we want there (2 of my bridesmaids incl.) who have small children who we be the ages of 3yrs and younger by the time of the wedding. Now I really don't want to be in the middle of reading my vows and someone has to miss the moment because they have a screaming kid on their lap. Besides I went to a wedding with a friend who brought along her 7month daughter at the time and she had ABSOLUTELY NO FUN! I won't allow that at my wedding! Everyone is to be having fun dancing and having a good adult time! Not don't get me wrong I LOVE KIDS, I actually want 3 myself but I just don't think weddings are the place for small children. I mean would u want to be stuck in one spot being told to be quiet when all you want to do is exploer, run around and play????
they think weddings are adult events! i love that :) so, it was easy for us to say "no kids".
i hope this isnt a huge issue for you and fh-because i know sometimes it can be. in-laws start to weight in as do guests. stand your ground!
Our 1st and 2nd was without children..Very nice..now that our youngest will be 9, they really want to be a part of the ceremony. So, why not celebrate with our 6 children and relatives children? We're ready this time!
My sister who was in the wedding decided to drop out because she could not bring her son. who is 5 and bad as hell. She said it was not fair cause "Naja was gonna be there"
I was hurt but I had to say goodbye to her. Hell she cannot even control her child and he was not coming to my wedding to be out of control
Good Luck
