WATER BOTTLE labels made easy!
I was doing some research on how to make these water bottle labels. Ordering waterproof paper, getting it shipped, and waiting for the product to come was just too much for what it was worth. Then I stumbled across a blog on this site which one lady said she used packing tape. I thought that was kind of odd but I tried it myself and WOW! the cost of making these labels are PENNIES!

using microsoft word and publisher (to create the label), I made sure that that each label was sized 1.86" x 8.5. The 1.86" will fit perfectly on the packing tape. I was able to fit 5 labels per sheet. The pictures are a step by step guide on how to make it!

enjoy!

Wedding Invitations
I never thought I would have SOOO much fun creating my own wedding invitations. I first started out creating my own pocketfold to a 6 X 6. After figuring out how much it would cost just making the pocketfold myself (buying adhesive, a paper trimmer, etc...) I figured I would just order my pocketfolds from cards and pockets. Yeah I spent $0.27 more on the pocketfolds but I would rather skip a few steps and have ready made pocketfolds...No fuss, no muss! So I bought the Vertico 5 X 7 pocket fold in ebony black...

My next step was figuring out what kind of paper and envelopes to choose. WOW! What a selection and process it was! I think I know the ENTIRE Collection of the Curious Metallics! hehe... I chose CUT CARD STOCK as my paper supplier. The thing that was really drawn to me was the FREE SHIPPING for orders over $125. I live in Winnipeg, Canada, but ALWAYS head down to the United States to go shopping... We are planning a trip down there in a couple of weeks so this is a perfect time to get the paper ordered!

At first I was all into the Curious Metallics Violette cardstock and envelopes...I just had to have the sparkling paper, until I added it to my shopping cart! After much procrastination, I opted out for the metallics and went with a plain deep purple cardstock and envelopes (BASIS name brand) which was a fraction of the cost. I figured, they're just invitations and at the end of the day, will people really care? lol...

So this is what I have so far. I can't wait to get everything in so I can assemble them! I think I'm going to be quite pleased with my decision!

oh yeah, and the invitations I made using Microsoft publisher! They kinda have a cutesy feel to them, this is because the invitation are from our children. Thought we would do something different! ;)

More to come...

Wedding Color
I'm going back to Purple!
So I'm going back! I'm going back to the color purple...
This whole Tiffany, robins egg, turquoise, teal blue thing just isn't working out...It's so hard trying to find the "exact color" so I put up the white flag and have decided to go with my first decision....purple. I feel much better about my decision and happy to be going back! :)

A little update: If you have noticed (or not), these are the colors of the Minnesota Vikings and YES my FH is a HUGE fan! So he was all up for this color scheme. haha :)

WEDDING SOCIAL
Another pround Manitoba moment...eh!
This weekend I got my social tickets printed and I'm super excited! I know its super early but I designed them myself and couldn't wait to see what they look like. I printed off 640. This social is going to be HUGE! :)

For all of the bloggers who have that confused look on your face and asking yourself "What the heck is a wedding social". Here's a little bit about them:

A wedding social is a fundraiser for your wedding, period. It's VERY popular in Manitoba, Canada. If you hear of a wedding social, there is 99.99% chance that the people having the social is from Manitoba. ok, now I know a lot of gals are probably saying "you have GOT to be kidding me! Fundraising for your own WEDDING???" lol. Throwing a social is an AWESOME thing! Alot of people don't mind going to wedding socials because your going out to a social event, you get to drink, dance, bump into people that you haven't seen in a long time and win GREAT prizes...and sometimes the prizes are HUGE! Its effortless to host one and it pays off, really! Selling your social tickets alone at $10 pp is profitable! :)

So far, our list of prizes that people can win are:

55" LCD TV
PS3
His & Her mountain bikes
Bar Fridge
4 brand new tires
Fishing basket
Camping basket
Road Trip to the USA basket
Norwex Baset
Girls basket
boys Basket
and more....

I will post pictures after the event!
