Wow so I have bben MIA for a while, actually I have been working my butt off to pay for the wedding saving as much as I can and doing little projects here and there, but I am happy to say I finished all the invitations and they are ready to be mailed out, and the favors are all finished and ready to go to the reception place. I have been reading everyones posts and love all the process everyone has done so far!!! good job ladies, I really want to make some nice tears of joy packets like the fairytale bride cause hers are the bomb but I don't know of a template... :( I will figure it out though I have been googling alot of ideas for them... SO all other Brides whats on your to-do list.. mine is a laundry list haha but I am slowly picking away at it... we go to get our wedding bands in 2 weeks! So excited ok bye now

Sorry Ladies I have been MIA for a bit, been working alot in order to par for this wedding, Monday I booked out honeymoon we will be going to Puerto Plata DR the resort is called Blue Bay villas Dorada. I had wanted a destination wedding in the beginning, but I have 2 kids and I wnted them to be there and I knew that my friends and family are not rich and it wasnt fair for them to have to pay 1000+ just to come to my wedding an me expect a gift....... no way, so I am having a Destination Moon (I just made that up... lol) For my wedding party and all others that wish to join us can come along on the honey moon, we will be there 2 weeks and the guests can come anytime within that time line. I know you all are reading this like WHAT your inviting people to your honeymoon!!!!???!!! But it is an All Inclusive resort with many things to do and dont need to chill with us the whole time. Many of my friends got married and could not afford a honeymoon at the time so this will b e a get away for them as well, I am super excited cant wait!

So I am so amped I couldnt wait until the 9 month mark I had my behind at the post office at 12 am to mail out my save the dates exactly 9 months to the day!!! yippppeeeeeee come on May 5!

How long did you date before you got engaged?
A little over a year

Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Sort of, we met in NY so when he mentioned he wanted to take a weekend to NY I was a little suspicious

Did you cry when he proposed?
No I am not much of a cryer... I smiled alot :)

Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.
Romantic.... We met back in 2009 in NY on 30th and Lexington ave in Manhattan (we never met before and we both live in Lancaster Pa... weird) anywho well we went to NY Feb 18th of this year and he mentioned about going back to where we first met and have an offical first kiss... so I was like if he's going to do it he will do it then, we walked the city the entire day an my feet were killing me! so we finally came to the corner of 30th street and turned on to Lexington and I had the bubblies I was sweating a little and we stopped and kissed where we first met I was like in my head.."its gonna happen" an no we kept walking I was confused lol so we go to this bbq spot right across the street called Jimmys so we sat ate and he was pounding back the beers I was thinking we got a long walk back to our hotel on 62nd street that was well over 30 blocks so after we got the check he asked if I had the camera I said no I forgot it but my blackberry takes great pictures why whats up? He was like lets go back and get a picture by where we first met, I was like alright so we go have a stranger take the pic and after i get my phone back I go to walk back to him and he is down on one knee... I almost laughed cause he tricked me lol

yahooooo my linens came today!!!! I know not look like that on the table cause my table is rectangular and the tables are round at the reception spot, so yay (please excuse my adorable son in the background)

SO today I was just sitting around the house stalking WBC, and I read rainbowbrides post about paying for some stuff being almost all paid off, now I know my wedding is not until May 5, 2012 but I need to get this ball rolling a little faster, so I went to my venue and paid that in full, and stopped by my cake and photographer and gave her some more money, now really all I have to do is make deposits on the food and drinks!! yay me!!! 9 months to go!!!

I love the vintage feel of the lottle flower pots and the bow in the tiffany color!!! these will be my place card holders as well

I made these using regular flat card blank invites I found at ollie's for 50 of them for 2.99!!! I used a flat cutter to cut them all in half after I printed on them and used a hole punch to put the ribbon through

I am one lucky lady!!! We met in NY while we both live in the same town only a few minutes away, what were the chances we we both in NY in the same weekend, on the same street at the same exact time!!! so when he decided to propose he took me on a weekend trip to NY back to the same place where he first seen me dropped down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.... ofcourse was my answer!!!!!
