Are you having a Videographer at your wedding? Weigh in what are your thoughts are pictures just enough vice versa or do you need both? I'm trying to decide and input would help my decision.
i can't decide either!!! The cost is holding me back. it's only $400 (for the ceremony only)...but that is the only part i would want filmed. I think i would be so nervous that i would forget the whole ceremony so i'd like to be able to watch it later. I can't decide though....
I want both but cannot afford it. You definitely want a photographer though. The videographer is great if you can afford it but if not, I would recommend finding one of your guests who won't mind filming the wedding for you. Another option is if you have a college near you with a video/production school, put up flyers at the campus advertising your need for a videographer.
We are having both-- again, we have been blessed with family and friends who have their own businesses.
It is still expensive, however because we are getting married in one location and my family is in another, I will be sending DVDs with Thank Yous for those who could not come :)
You could ask one of your family members to video and use a editing program on your computer and make your own DVD :)
I am having a cinematographer. This is one day where I do not want to regret something and wishing i would have hired one. The way i justified it to myself was, would you rather see your great great grandparents wedding photos or a video? I totally would love to go back in time and watch the video! i think it is a family treasure that you will enjoy many many years down the road. For some really cool wedding vidoes check out our cinematographer www.stilmotion.ca

Also I just don't look good on videos and don't want that to spoil my wedding memories. I can always pick out the photos that I like.
