I had my first flower appointment yesterday. Overall.... not the greatest experience. I mean I did get great Ideas and the prices really werent bad. I also came home and if we did decide to go with them I figured out a way how to drop about 800 bucks off the total.
lets begin the story.
About two weeks ago I was walking home from work and I decided to stop by the Flower shop thats on my way. I told her I didnt have many ideas and all I really wanted to talk about was looking into blue flowers and my options. I was clear that I didnt want to book anything I just wanted to talk about some options. So we set the appointment.
So my mom and my fiance came with me to the appointment yesterday. She pulls out a spread sheet which I thought was wierd since I just wanted to ask a few questions. She starts with our info wedding date names etc. This lady was a spazz to say the least. She kept getting text messages and answering them during our meeting. She would tell me what she wants to see. And to top it off, throughout the appointment she kept saying stuff like we were booking. At the end we said we wanted to wait and check out a few more places before we make a decision she had a total mood swing and got really pissed saying " well... thats fine i guess. i just dont want all MY ideas going out the door to some other florist and they give you a better deal." HELLO!!! its my wedding, my choices, and if i can find the same thing somewhere else cheaper HECK YES im going with the cheaper. I mean i knew what i wanted for my bouquet and had several ideas for the bridesmaids and i had an idea of what I wanted for the gazebo at the place we are most likely booking at. all she did was give me a few good ideas and actualy grab flowers and put them together to show us. Idk... i didnt leave feeling like it was sure deal and satisfied. Instead I left feeling like I got yelled at for wanting to check out other places, like the ladies attention was not fully on us and what we wanted. most likely wont go with her but we'll see what we get when we meet with some other florists.
Sending her a letter thanking her for her work but explaining why she wasn't chosen might not be a bad idea!!
