Wedding Budget
My DH has decreased my budget

So, I'm 5 months out and my wonderful husband, the procrastinator, has decided to decrease my budget by $5,000. We put our wedding on hold because of my cousin's wedding and his brother's wedding later this month. I had all my other vendors chosen, so I didn't mind putting planning on hold. It was going to be easy.

Well........not so much. Now that he wants to decrease my wedding spending, I'm having to find new vendors and cut things to fit the new budget, and I don't have time for this. Mind you it's not because he can't afford it, in his words "you are spending to much money, it's not that serious"!

So, I have a dress and a venue.

wooo I would be ticked too! I mean if his point was that there just wasnt enough money or something like that it would be different. But to wait till the last min to decide to decrease the budget is not cool.
I am sorry. Think its possible he may change his mind>

That's a pain, if he is cutting it from 20 to 15, that isn't such a big deal, unless you had it planned to the penny... if it's from 10 to 5 or something similar, make him help with the new vendors and plans!
My husband couldn't believe how much ours was adding up to be. So I made him sit down with me 3 nights in a row to figure out catering, linens, place settings and food. He got so frustrated and stressed out, poor guff, finally just threw his hands up and said if it meant he didn't have to make those decisions he didn't care what I spent :P

sorry to hear!! :-( thats awful and a little mean that he doesnt think it's that serious!! of course it's serious!! it's the beginning of the rest of your lives as husband and wife!! but i do understand mine tried that too.....and i just told him how it was, seeing that we can afford all this, if you want a happy wife and an amazing honeymoon, you will give me the wedding of my dreams........so far no problems, but we still have 11 months so we will see!!
hope he changes his mind!! if he does not good luck with the changes!!

Wow! That sucks!!! I hope you can find vendors in your new budget that will satisfy you. I'm having the exact opposite problem!
