Centerpieces

Here are some centerpiece ideas I have come up with. I really like cp5 and cp6 a lot. I was thinking about adding one goldfish to each one. I also like cp4 but I would probably use a little less flowers on top. After looking at reviews however, I'm not sure if this is such a good idea or if it's kinda tacky.

I have read reviews that say what if they die or what if they poop??? Well one if they die I'm quite sure MY GUESTS would say something like aww and brush it off instead of being super critical and disgusted. And two if it poops oh freaking well! lol. It's not like guests are gonna smell it and loose their appetite from it. But also I was gonna have aquarium rocks at the bottom and petals floating in the other. So the poop should sink to the bottom and "disappear" AND i can't imagine folks just sitting around all night staring at my centerpieces rather than dancing and having a great time!

Some other words of advice comments I saw were, what would become of the fish once the reception was over??? Well when I mentioned this fun centerpiece idea to a few people they already put in their order to take one home. So I thought it would be fun to have everyone submit their names if they want a fish and we'll do a drawing at the end of the reception to see who get a fish! And I could name them and have a little place card with something like "keep fishing for love" Lol THAT particular quote may be a lil corny, but you catch my drift right?

So what do you ladies think about the centerpieces???? With and without the goldfish idea?? And is having a goldfish as a part of a centerpiece tacky?

I like it without the goldfish also, but if that is what you're set on, then go for it. I like centerpieces cp2 and cp5, but that is similar to what we are doing, so obviously I like them, lol. Good luck! :)

I like the fish CP idea but i would use beta fish instead of gold fish they would look more elegant and your idea to give them away is a great one.I say go for it

I love all the pics. My favorite is cp5. I do like the fish idea, but I would be fearful of a dead fish in my centerpiece (just speaking honestly). I do agree I would use beta fish instead of gold fish too. Beta fish come in very pretty colors.

I advise you to test it out and see how it turns out.

Awww, I think the fish are cute. Do they have some significance? Or just a thought.

I'm sure you can have someone do a quick "check" before the guests arrive at the reception to make sure all the fish are alive and "well".

I like the beta fish better than the gold fish.

Good luck!

i also want to do a fish centerpiece. im going with betas and im gonna try and find one that go with my wedding colors (turquoise and purple) but i like the giving them away idea! just as an extra lil favor add fish food and something for the fish like some sort of water cleaner.
how i want to do the fish centerpiece though is have the fish in a regular round fish bowl (for the fish) then put a tall cylinder vase in the middle and put flowers in that vase. i havent seen any pics of it yet and i havent tried it but in my head it looks good!!
