Save the date

So I was just reading about save the dates and realized these things are suppose to be sent out a year before the wedding! OMG can you say I'm a little behind schedule.... Well my question is should I still send them out or notify by word of mouth and just skip straight to invitations?

STD's don't have to be sent out a year in advance. it's mainly whenever you want. You still have 7 months so you can still send them out if you would like. I did send them out a year in advance only to my out of the country guest's. It's really your personal opinion :)

I agree with hismrsb. I only sent mine to out of state people a year in advance. You still have time, but if you don't want to, I wouldn't feel obligated!! But def send them if you already have them! :)

If it makes you feel ANY better...I am sending mine out as we speak- 9 months before the wedding!

We sent ours out a little while ago. 6 months to the date, then the invites are going out months before the date.
