Hi lovely ladies! I know its been a while since I've been here, but life's been pretty busy since getting married!
I wanted to show off some of my professional wedding pics! My photographer was amazing! I paid for 400 prints and she ended up giving me 776 edited prints and on disc and she's also giving me a disc of almost 2000 more pictures that are unedited but she can edit the ones i want! She also had all my pictures to me within 3 weeks! Here are just a "few" of my favourites! |

**Littlelamb is MARRIED**
*All the details*
Im back! and this time im MARRIED! And it feel sooo good! :)
All the the countless days and hours of planning all the details resulted in the most amazing day of my life! It was better than i ever imagined! The decor, flowers, bridesmaids dresses, tuxes- EVERYTHING was the way I dreamed it would be! The day ran so smooth! My favourite part was the first look before the wedding. To those who are on the fence about it- its totally worth it! I didn't want to do this initially bc I wanted to get the feeling of Sean seeing me walk down the aisle towards him for the first time, but then I realized if I see him in private its the same thing- minus 250 staring at us! I had him stand in the back corner of my parent's backyard and I walked into the backyard and down towards him...so he still got to see me walk up to him, as if I was coming down the aisle, but we got a private moment and all of our emotions werent sidetracked by nerves. it was perfect! Seans reaction coulndt have been better! His jaw pretty much dropped, he looked me up and down and told me I looked "gorgeous"- thats my faavourite compliment from him! He doesnt overuse that word, so i know when he says it its very special! :) He asked if he could kiss me- I said sure! I coudlnt wait until the ceremony! lol The ceremony went perfect! we had 5 little ones all under the age of 6 in our wedding party and they all were amazing and didnt become a distraction! I was so nervous that if i started crying during the ceremony I wouldnt stop, and to my surprise I didnt cry at all! I got some tears, but i was mostly just too happy to stop smiling! The rest of the day was very hot, taking pictures was excrutiating lol...but the photographer got some gorgeous shots! The speeches at the reception were awesome! people are still commenting on them 9 days later! I was nervous about this part because my dad's side of the family is very religious and conservative and they dont agree with alcohol consuption at all- and my hubbys family is the exact opposite. Most of the groomsmens speeches shared stories that involved drinking, but they were so funny that even my dads family had their heads thrown back in laughter! All in all it was perfect!! I would never want to throw a wedding again, lol..but I guess I wouldnt have to when theres nothing I would have done differently :) I've posted some NON-professional pics that my sister took using instgram! Cant wait to show you the prof. ones once i get them!!! Thanks for reading my novel! I'll post later about our honeymoon to Vegas!! :) |

**Little Lamb is Back**
**Hair trial, and some other things!*
IM BAAAACK!!!
I thought I would give WBC one last shot, and of course, this time my pictures actually worked! Im actually pretty happy bc I was bummed that my wedding is only 10 DAYS AWAY and I wasn't able to share anything with you girls on this site :( I've been keeping in touch over on the facebook page: something old, new, borrowed, blue...if you haven't checked it out go right now! :) So in the meantime while this site wasn't working for me, I've accomplished a lot of things! I finished my table numbers, I had my hair trial, got to work on my pew bows for the church, started putting my gifts together for our bridal party...and much much more! The picture of my hair down its how I will have my hair for the ceremony, and for the reception my hair stylist is pinning my hair up like in the last picture! I posted a picture of my wedding band! It came in a few days ago and I LOVE it! I've also added some pictures of my pew bows, as well as my gifts for ym bridesmaids- I handmade them each their own personlized wine glass (check out earlier post), I made them each a handmade bracelet, I threw in a zebra print kleenex pacage for each of them, and then I am paying for their make-up applications, and I also bought them each a pair of rhinestone flip flops for the reception! Anyways, I better get back to my wedding tasks! There's still a lot to do in these next 10 days!!! love ya's! (and Im so glad to be back!!! :) ) x0x |

Well girls, after lots of contemplating, I have decided to leave this site...
I won't be closing my account, but I will no longer be adding any posts. The main reason for the decision is that fact that for the past month and a half this site has not been allowing me to post my own pictures...I can only post pictures off the internet. And it's not a jpeg or size issue because I have tried everything and nothing works :(. From now on all my wedding updates will be posted on facebook on the new page that was created for members of this site called "something old, new, borrowed, blue"! All you girls are welcome to join the group and use it to share your wedding plans in case you are like me, and have found waaay too many issues with this site. Im very sad about this because I've made so many amazing friends on this site and I have found such great support from all of you girls. A lot of the friends I have made on this site are now on my facebook and any of you girls are more than welcome to add me if you'd like! :) My name is Mallory Poort! **BaChElOrEtTe PaRtY this weekend!!!**
Hi ladies!
I'm getting super excited for this weekend because its my BACHELORETTE party!!! :D And after my day at work today, I NEED a night away with my girls! My sister planned the party and I couldn't be more excited! There are 11 (i think) girls and we're going to Toronto to stay at the Royal York hotel...which is the most famous hotel in T.O! My sister arranged for us to go to the spa, then we'll have some cocktails in the room and order pizza while we get ready for a night out on the town! My sister also planned for a limo to pick us up and take us to the clubs! :) I can't wait to get all dolled up and go dancing with my best girls! x0x |

Wedding Gift Registry
**Had my second Bridal Shower today**
I am such a spoiled little bride!
My first shower was thrown for me on June 16th by my fiance's cousins and it was a "pampered chef" shower. For those of you who aren't familiar with pampered chef, its kitchen product products that is sold by consultants (Sean's cousin is a consultant. It is really nice good quality stuff, that normally I would never be able to afford, but for my shower I was told to make a wishlist and people could pick stuff to buy for me off of my list. I was sooo blessed with tons of amazing items! The best part is that when a certain amout of money is spent at each party then the person hosting the party (which would be me since I was the bride) earns an amount of free stuff depending on how much money was spent. So in the end I earned about $300 worth of products of my choice on top of everything that was bought for me as a gift! I ended up getting a pots and pan set valued at $900 for $450!!!! Isn't that incredible!!!! Needless to say I was a very happy girl! :) My 2nd shower was today and it was hosted by my aunts and my sister who is my MOH. My bridesmaids also assisted in the decorating and hosting etc. My sister busted her butt for the past 2 weeks preparing thigs for this shower and it was absolutely stunning! It was held in my aunts backyard (where I was originally planning on having our ceremony) and it was an "Enchanted Garden" theme :) The backyard is surrounded by my aunts beautiful gardens and they hung paper lanterns and sparkly butterflies from the tree! They had fresh flower centerpieces and served tea and punch and breads and goodies and cupcakes! We played a game where everyone had to guess waht Sean's answers were to questions about me and it was really fun and interesting! I got lots of great gifts, tons of things we are in desperate need of right now bc we've just moved into our home! I only have the pics so far that my sister put on facebook, but i'll be adding more once my aunt gets hers on facebook! The only downfall is that I am extremely sick right now...I have a terrible head cold that includes headache, congestion, fever, sore throat, sore chest...ugh...I feel just awful..and to top it off our air conditioner kicked out last night and our house was 88 degrees...I didn't sleep until I finally went over to my mom and dad's at 6 am and got a few hours there.... But everyone at my shower said I handled it like a trooper!! Hope everyone else is having a wonderful weekend! :) x0x |

Wedding Dress
**Seamstress Nightmare!**
You wont ever guess what I had to deal with recently.
I had taken my dress to a small alterations shop. She seemed young (early 30's) but when she started pinning my dress and talking about the alterations she sounded very professional and like she knew what she was doing. Well that was all fine and dandy until she began to tell me all about her personal life- her boyfriend, her how they broke up, how they are back together, how he has a crazy drug addict ex girlfriend Anyways, I was pretty uncomfortable with this, but since I needed my dress altered sooner than later I felt like I was kind of stuck, I told myself that as long as she got the job done and she got it done right and on time then I could deal with her craziness. So she gave me an appointment card and told me to come back 3 weeks later. So I show up at her shop with my mom, FMIL, and sister who is also my MOH, on the day that she had made my second appointment for. When I walked in it was like she didnt even recognize me...so I said "Is my dress ready?" she looks at me surprised and realizing who I was said "No....no not at all...I havent even started it." So my sister pipes up and says "What do you mean its not started?" seamstress: "Its a huge dress, its going to be a big process. theres no way I would have started it already" (that doesnt make any sense at all) So I said "Well If you havent even started it then why would you make an appointment for me to come in today?" she says "did i? I dont have you written down in my book...do you have an appointment card? me: yes right here... (show her the card) she got all flustered bc she realized she was in the wrong and started stuttering and shaking said "oh...well..umm....I made that for your initial fitting" me: "you already have the dress pinned, we did that the last time I was here, so why would I come today and be pinned again?" her: "well why dont you go ahead and try the dress on so your family members can see where I put the pins and make sure they like how we are going to change it" I was so upset and shaken up I didnt know what to do or say, so I went into the fitting room with my dress and my sister (MOH) came following in after me. Once we had the curtain closed my sister goes "No way. uh uh, you are NOT leaving your dress with this girl again. It was supposed to be started already adn this is so unprofessional! We are leaving right now." So my sister exited the change room and said to the seamstress "Theres been a change in plans. We expected that the dress would at least be started by now and its not. So we're gunna leave and we're taking the dress with us We'll find somewhere else to go." I was SOOOO relieved and happy with my sister. What a GREAT MOH! The seamstress's jaw dropped and she quietly said "Im so sorry that this is causing you to not get your dress done here." she then packed up my dress and we were outta there! So then I panicked bc I didnt have a seamstress and my wedding was 2 months away adn I needed my whole dress taken apart pretty much and put back together! But I ended up going to a seamstress I was refered to by a co-worker and she does it out of her home. She owned a bridal shop for over 20 years and did all the alterations herself, so shes VERY professional and knows exactly what shes doing! CRISIS AVERTED!!! lol thanks God for my sister! x0x |

**Dresses are in!**
My bridesmaids dresses finally arrived! I am sooo happy with them! I was a little worried about the colour becuase I couldn't really tell from the sample swatch if it was the right shade, but they turned out to be EXACTLY what I wanted!
