I LOVE my dress...but what type/color bouquet should I get???

Here is my dress....bold and lovely!

Ok...so after months of dress shopping, I happened to be driving by a dress shop and saw a photo of this dress in the window. I went home and called the shop and asked who the designer was and was told it was a DaVinci dress. The dress comes in White and Ivory, but the red just called out to me! So I tried it on and fell in love! I never had this feeling about any of the other gowns I tried on, I didn't want to take this gown off. My love said if I love the gown that much, I had to get it....so I did, lol!
So my delimna now is the same thing that made me fall in love with it, the dress is red! I decided not to do a veil because I couldn't find one that would compliment the dress. My main problem is, what color bouquet should I carry? I really like the idea of roses, but I'm afraid that red roses would be too much. I'm open to other flowers, it doesn't have to be roses. I just really want something that would look great with my dress!

OMG see thats what I luv 2 see, brides ding "Different things". My dress is yellow. Well I think some nice white flowers (if ur in2 flowers Im doin bouquet buttons). The white would make your dress pop!

I think straight red roses or any red flower might be a bit overwhelming. What other colors are you using?
Purple and red would probably look gorgeous in front of this dress unless you wanted to go for a flame look and use red yellow and orange flowers.
Whichever colors you go with I think I would stick to a hand tied bouquet as opposed to something cascading. You don't want to detract from that skirt.

why not do WHITE ROSES!

Thanks Spankalicous and Selenalovesisaiah! I think white roses would probably be a good idea, I just didn't know if it would be too much of a contrast. Sparklette, you are definitely right about not doing a cascading bouquet, that would be way too much, lol!

Pearls is a great idea to put in the bouquet because my dress actually has pearls sewed into the bodice so thanks Spakalicous for that tip!

I agree with the white bouquet! white roses with white hydrangea looked really pretty too :)

Wow, that is a bold statement. I remember that in the days of yore :)), the wedding dresses were red. I agree with the girls, white bridal bouquet would be amazing with your dress.

I absolutely love the boldness of this dress! I had ivory and red for my wedding colors but my dress was ivory so I was able to use red roses, but I also threw in some ivory ones in the cascade. I'm going to disagree with the ladies who said no to a cascade. Its hard to see the detail in your dress to know if there is all white, or if its more ivory. Since you want to add pearls to the bouquet, I think white/ivory roses, with a few red ones thrown in, with some stephanotis mixed in with pearls at their center would look amazing. It looks like your dress has a bit of sparkle to it, so you could always use crystals in your bouquet too, just to add a bit more oomph to the overall look. I think the small stephanotis flowers would look gorgeous woven in to your dark hair too! As far as flowers, I have (in the past) seen bouquets that are one color on the base of the flower, and the florist "paints" the tips a different color...I think they use a spray paint of sorts. Just thought I would mention that because I remember thinking it was beautiful and would probably look fantastic with your dress if you did a "two tone" flower in white AND red!! Just a though! :-)
