This is ktpinkbride's Pink Wedding!

I am not a huge blogger and I come more opn here to get idead ans inspirations! but its only 31 days away and wow! Its getting crazy! I am so excited! Me and the hubby to be are moving into our apartment htis weekend and then I think the big day will be here before we know it!

On a side note I am going for my boudoir photos today! I am very excited but also very nervous!

My bridesmaids came over last week and helped assemble!

Got all the pocket folds and card stock off cards and pockets.com
printed everything myself!

used wax to seal the ribbon to keep the pocketfold closed! i love them!!

also enclosed are some pics of my cupcake trial ( i may be making my own cupcakes instead of a cake) haven't decided they turned out great but will be a lot of work!

My Bouquet (fuschia roses, gerbera daisies, deep purple carnations for filler, white orchids and stephanotis dangling (semi cascade)
4 Bridesmaids Bouquets (same as mine minus the orchids) with fushic satin wraps)
1 Jr. Bridesmaids Bouquet (smaller version of the bridesmaids)
5 Corsages (pink and white rodes and carnations)
5 Boutinieres (to match the mothers and grandmothers)
except for Gregs which will be a white orchid and stephanotis to match me

I am making all the ceremony and reception decor using silk flowers
made pomadors for the pews and also making pomadors for the 2 flower girls but different colors,

Alter decor - Tall vases with pink water beads and tons of fuschia and white orchids spilling out i have to find something to put them on still

Centerpieces, not sure exactly but using white orchids and floating candle in pink water....

when i book the florist she will make mock ups to show me so i will post pics then

Took a shopping trip to the states to David's Bridal and found some great dresses that look great on everyone! First style is for my MOH (she will be 7 and a half months pregnant by then she tried it on with a little fake belly she looked so cute!! i can't wait for her belly to be real!!
Then the other 3 bridesmaids are wearing the second style
the junior bridesmaid still needs to find hers and i need to get the flower girls dresses!! and my mom but it feels like a good chunk is done now!!

will post pics of them actually in them in a bit!

May 30 2009...yikes moves things up a little but hey I'm good under pressure! Got lots to do now!
My cousin cried when I told her....
so excited to Marry Greg sooner then expected 157 days and counting!

So my beautiful cousin who is my maid of honor is preggers!!! Yay so excited for her....here is the thing she is due 2 weeks after my wedding so whats the dilemma....?
#1 Its extremely important that she is there to stand beside me as my maid of honor!
#2 even if everything works out that she can be there she is going to be very pregnant and very uncomfortable as the wedding is in July and I just don't want her to feel obligated to be there if she is feeling uncomfortable
#3 finding a dress for her will be difficult as she is going to have to wait last minute cuz ur belly changes so much in the last month of pregnancy!

So I am thinking of moving up the date to May 30th so that she will be around 7 months not as uncomfortable and still be able to be there for sure (as long as all goes well with the pregnancy)

What do you guys think...am I crazy to change it for that reason??

I have so much planned and I am just waiting and waiting for the date to come and cannot wait to marry my honey and have no issue with moving it up its just making sure all my vendors are available in May...i heard back from the photographer just waititng to hear from the venue and church and officiant (not from that church we are getting married at)nothing else major has been booked...May 30th was the other date we were considering originally but we picked July because the original church we were going to be married in was not available in May but now its at a different church anyways....

What are your guys thoughts? That would bring the wedding to approx 5 months away instead of 7...no biggie I am pretty organized and it can be done....

How long did you date before you got engaged?
met when i was 17 and he was 19 have been dating for almost 5 years! got engaged Oct 7! day before my bday

Did you get the ring you wanted?
Definitly I love it so much its very me!

Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Not a surprise I had a feeling it was coming we spend so much time together I just knew something was up but he still shocked me when he actually did it! I couldn't believe it was finally happening!

Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
My ring is perfect! Bigger then i thought and i love it!!!

Did you cry when he proposed?
OMG yes!!!

Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.
We were mountain biking near where we live there is a beautiful waterfall and we stopped at a place we always stop when we are biking there to rest and look at the water he said i have another gift for you (was day b4 my bday) he had already given me carrie underwood concert tickets for that night and he gave me a guess purse, inside there was a ring box with a plastic ring that he made for me out of a water bottle cap the very first night he kissed almost 5 years ago thats when i started bawling! He got down on one knee and pulled out of his pocket the real ring and said Katie will you marry me! I just kept crying and hugging him and nodding and then i yelled "its pink! before i even said yes! it was soooo perfect he is so amazing!!

When do you want to go for your honeymoon?
We want to go right after the wedding would love to have a 2 week honeymoon!!
Are you buying his wedding band for him?
Yes I'm buying it for him

cupcake tower!! with a small cake to cut on top! he likes vanilla i am a chocoholic so this way we can have both! haven't decided on icing

My dress is a white beautiful princess sparkly dress see pics below!

gerbera daisys roses orchids

My ring is a three stone ring with 1 big sparkly diamond and 2 pink sapphires on either side white gold

Kind of wedding bands?
just a plain band cuz i never want to take my band off and i am hard on my hands at work (hair stylist) so i don't want anything with detail gets too dirty too fast! but definitly plan to get some sparkly bands for future anniversarys

How will you wear your hair?
half up half down loose waves with a tiara and veil for the ceremony and pictures then take out the veil and tiara and put it up in a loose undone kind of updo with a white orchid in my hair!

Who will be important to be there?
The groom of course and family and friends!! especially my grandma!

black faint pinstripe suit with white shirt tie and vest

somewhere to just relax unknown for now hopefully mexico!

I'm doing it all myself, with some imput from the groom, bridal party and my mom! and his mom

haven't decied i think a combination of both i want something unique but i am such a traditionalist!
